Californias U.S. Senate race between Democratic incumbent Barbara Boxer and Republican challenger Carly Fiorina remains a virtual tie with less than two weeks to go until Election Day.
The latest Rasmussen Reports statewide telephone survey of Likely Voters shows Boxer picking up 48% of the vote, while Fiorina draws support from 46%. Three percent (3%) prefer some other candidate, and three percent (3%) are undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)
The race remains a Toss-Up in the Rasmussen Reports Election 2010 Senate Balance of Power rankings.
Last week, Boxer led Fiorina 49% to 46%. Boxer was reeelected with 58% of the vote in 2004, but despite California's strong Democratic tendencies, this race has been close all year. The incumbent, who is seeking her fourth six-year term, has held a small lead in every survey but one since February with 42% to 49% of the vote. Fiorina, a former CEO of Hewlett-Packard, has earned 38% to 47% support in those same surveys.

That we be excellent news if accurate.
Definitely watch this excellent anti-Boxer ad by Hollywood producer Zucker:
Then send it to everyone you know in CA.
West Coast effect: If we sweep the East, Dems won’t bother coming out to the polls in the West. They’ll stay home, smoking “medicinal” tobacco substitutes, and Carly will get a bigger margin than expected, too big even for the standard Dem vote fraud to sway the results.
In any case, I’m amazed that this race is in play at all, and that bodes well for quite a few races nationwide. I wonder what’s going to happen in races that no one bothers polling - are more in play and we just don’t realize it?
bump to watch since blocked at work..
Incumbents under 50% are historical toast.
Wow, I had forgotten all about that. You are absolutely right. That type of sleazy move is known in political history as a “Roorback.”
Carly needs to have the sleaziest, below the belt, tatas on the chopping block ad her folks can muster up in the can. Then, if Boxer goes her roorback route, smack her with it wall to wall.
Hopefully, the Republican wave that will become apparent when the polls close on the East Coast will discourage voters still waiting to vote on the West Coast.
What is a TCJ?
Who would have thunked that Carly would do this good.
Yep; this one is well within the margin of fraud. Boxer wins by 1,150 votes statewide as Bay Area and LA precincts bring in the last late returns...
Getting to the polls is the name of the game. Motivation is on our side however the nasty meanies of the left in California will go down swinging regardless of how bad their candidates are..... playing spoiler is almost as fun for them!
I agree if the pundits start calling landslides for Repubs early on then a wave could be big however don’t count on most MSM heads to start throwing in the towel as they are very aware if they do they could make things on their side even worse out here...
(words I never thought I’d hear myself saying, but...)
GO, CARLY!!!
(Unh; must rest now)
· A State who's next major industry is growing pot and a workforce that will be stoners.
· A State on the verge of Chapter 11 of which rumors on the "Business Insider" of Bernake buying their worthless bonds with worthless Treasuries.
· With these two clowns one National one as Gov, nothing will change, no pension reform at the State level.
At that point how does California not become the straw that become the tipping point to throw the economy into the Abys?
I think the rest of the DBM will fall into line behind Fox when Fox starts calling races.
It's a competitive market for eyeballs. If they think they will lose viewers to Fox, they'll sell their own mothers.
Of course, MSNBC will probably be an exception. They might be worth watching for the entertainment value: Chrissy's leg tingle will become an eye tic.
Agreed. In a close race fraud will always carry the day.
Michael Reagan was interviewed on Fox today and he was not at all impressed by the Whitman or Fiorina campaigns.
Will be nice to see that harridan voted out of office. She fits Rush’s true description of a fema nazi(someone who prefers abortion to a live baby).
I remember that. It was because he once went to a strip bar. Boxer was “OUTRAGED!”. Funny how a few years later she didn’t seem to be too angry at Bubba for his molestation of women.
