Texans are turning out in record numbers, and the liberal press is reporting it, but trying to downplay the significance. It's not because, as the article suggests, we're "getting used to early voting" (we've had it for several years), and I would say it's not because we're enthused about our candidates, although we do have some extremely good, conservative ones. I believe it's because we're fed up and want to send a resounding message to Obama, Harry & Nancy. However, as the article indicates, it appears that they're hearing, but, as the article also indicates, it doesn't appear that they're listening. But that's ok, they'll have pleanty of time to read about what happened to them after Nov 2.

You better believe it! We always vote early.

We voted the second day and for the first time we had a short line ahead of us.

This is a sign that the right wing wave will be even bigger than the pundits predict. We’re going to drown liberalism in November. And it can’t come fast enough.

WCBS radio reported last night that a lot of Democrats are voting early in certain areas. They mentioned a figure of 3 million so far.

I voted 2nd day at 10:00am. There were 20 people in front of me and about forty waiting behind me with a steady stream of people heading to get in line. One of the election officials said he had never seen such a heavy turn out in the early voting. I hope that is a good sign.

At our Austin area polling place, there were no “typical Obama voters” in sight as a steady stream of early voters arrived.

In Galveston County most of the early voting is in North County — the Republican part.

Well, you’re gonna get 4 new House seats, and if you draw the new districts correctly, you might pick up 6-7 GOP House seats..

I voted this morning in Corsicana. That's in Navarro County, Texas, and I was the 1,601st to vote early... and the 11th one to vote sober.

I vote for all Republicans except for Connie Mayfield for JP. She is running as a Democrat... but I forgive her.

Remember the Voting Rights Act of 1965? Texas is still one of the nine states that must have federal approval for establishment of Congressional Districts. Texas has requested to be released from this but to no avail.
