“...all of his stuff has been wiped off the site.”

NPR wasted no time. Typical of the Left to rewrite history, or in this case eliminate it. Same thing relatively.

I think Cokie Roberts was grandmothered in because of her mother, Lindy Boggs. She makes the rules at NPR and is the epitome of the ruling class.

Do I understand correctly? We are to keep an eye out for possible terrorist activity and inform law enforcement when we are suspicious of something we see or hear.
But we cannot be suspicious of Muslims. I guess we can only be on the alert if we are keeping an eye on an elderly white woman.

There is nothing more painful to me … than to walk down the street and hear footsteps and start thinking about robbery, then look around and see somebody white and feel relieved. — the Reverend Jesse Jackson, as quoted in US News, 3/10/96

I’m not so sure if he expressed his opinion on NPR, since it seems, all of his stuff has been wiped off the site.

This is an outrageous violation of journalistic standards and ethics by management that has no use for a diversity of opinion, ideas or a diversity of staff (I was the only black male on the air). This is evidence of one-party rule and one sided thinking at NPR that leads to enforced ideology, speech and writing. It leads to people, especially journalists, being sent to the gulag for raising the wrong questions and displaying independence of thought.

I'm very amused at the irony in all of this---liberal Juan gets fired by his liberal bosses at liberal NPR for wandering off the plantation, and its Conservatives and Fox News which stand up for him.

So how does betrayal and your exile feel, Juan?

I usually disagree with Jaun Williams about 80% of the time but, that is hardly the point. I’ve always viewed him as very intelligent, professional, and a great defender of the liberal argument. On some occasions, he has effectively persuaded me to rethink my position on an issue. In short, he’s an important part of the national discussion and I look forward to hearing what he has to say.

One thing that has made America so maddening over the last 25 years is this feeling we can’t speak our minds...that certain thoughts are to never be said publicly. For example, I am a white dude from Oakland. I have season tickets to the Raiders. I absolutely love the city. With that said, I get very nervous when I’m on BART and a bunch of shabby looking black guys get on the train. Yes, I wouldn’t be as nervous if it was a bunch of shabby looking white guys. This is how I feel. Jaun has similar feelings about Muslims on an airplane. What’s the big freakin’ deal if this stuff gets said?

I’ll go one step further. It needs to be said or problems won’t get solved. We’ve all been coiffed into not criticizing ‘black inter-city culture’ so, the problems facing that community have never been addressed....except to conclude by the liberals that it’s all whitey’s fault and I’m a racist for being nervous on the BART train. And, what has that got us? Nothing!!!

In conclusion, NPR messed up big time. They’ve exposed themselves as ‘censors’ to open discussion instead of the contributors they claim to be. By the way, is there some rule that all the higher-ups at NPR have to be middle aged white women from the North East? Talk about a lack of diversity!!! Strange as it sounds, I think this incident will lead to a better national dialogue on all things. Perhaps this will be Juan’s ultimate vindication.

Juan hasn’t figured it out yet, but Cokie and Ted are white, and liberals are racists.
