Ras : Brady ahead by 8 - PPP Brady ahead by 1 - I smell Dem polling.

Republican Bill Brady holds an eight-point lead over Democratic incumbent Pat Quinn in the four-way race for governor of Illinois.

A new Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Voters in the state finds Brady, a state senator, earning 45% of the vote to Quinn’s 37%. Democrat-turned-independent Scott Lee Cohen gets six percent (6%) support, and Green Party candidate Rich Whitney has the backing of two percent (2%). Another one percent (1%) favors another candidate, and eight percent (8%) are undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

I smell Dem push polling, they have been doing this for days now, taking races and making them close or putting the Dem ahead.

Maybe the PPP poll has already factored in the people who aren’t registered.

Maybe the PPP poll has already factored in the people who aren’t registered, but plan to vote.

PPP:

Democrat ...................................................... 40%
Republican .................................................... 30%
Independent/Other .......................................... 30%

Rassmussen only releases his demographic internals to "Platinum " members (I'm not one) but you can bet the turnout this year will NOT look like the numbers above, which look to me to be far closer to 2006/2008 turnout figures.

This is part of the democrat agenda to make it appear that democrat candidates are staging a comeback and keep their voters energized. In a West Virginia a poll recently was released that showed the democrat, Manchin, ahead by 10 points, where virtually every other poll showed his opponent Raese ahead by 3-6 point. The poll was supposedly done by “Marshall University” but when the media began investigating it turned out that the poll was a “push poll” done by a democrat campaign manager and released by his willing accomplices at Marshall to add an air of legitimacy to it. It didn't help, Rasmussen released a poll yesterday showing that the Republican had increased his lead to 7 points.

Name C E 2009-07-01
1. Chicago 2,851,268
2 Aurora 172,945
3 Rockford 157,280
4 Joliet 147,633
5 Naperville 143,663
6 Springfield 118,033
7 Peoria 115,520
8 Elgin 107,521
9 Waukegan 90,622
10 Champaign 80,286
11 Cicero 80,100

Well I can’t believe the difference between Chicago and everything else. No wonder Democrats win mostly. When one city has more population than the rest of the state combined it is no wonder that Democrats win....This is astonishing to me (population of Chicago).

Same thing happening in Calif with Whitman & Brown???

Suddenly, Brown has an 8 point lead.
Being attributed to “Hispanics who are supporting Brown”.
Are there that many LEGAL Hispanics voting? Or is there more voting fraud going on in Calif.???

Chicago (the city where I work) doesn’t have more people than the rest of the state, combined. In 2006, the Census Bureau estimated that Illinois’ population was 12,831,970.

Oh wow. That stupid article made it seem like Chicago overwhelmed the state. Thanks for setting me AND the article straight.
