Understanding this year's big midterm election isn't so hard after all.Two numbers from a new Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll - 46 and 48 - tell you all you need to know.

The first is the percentage of voters who think the health-care overhaul was a bad idea, which shows how that legislative achievement has never become the asset Democrats hoped. Instead, for some Democrats at least, the milestone has become more of a millstone.

The Republican narrative holds that the Democrats have led the country on a big-government, big-spending binge that imperils its future.

Don't worry about health care. Pretty soon you won't be able to afford the gas it takes to get to a hospital.

I can still see the glazed over eyes and the dazzling glare of light from the disgustingly euphoric grin of Pelosi when they passed that health care bill against the will of Americans. The Eva Peron wannabe really thought she was the most powerful, influential woman in the world. Kinda got it wrong, huh Nance?

I swear, I wanted to puke watching the picture of her taking the victory lap through the crowd of regular Americans, along with her fellow stooges, holding that oversized gavel. I so wanted someone to grab it and bop her head with it.

“I so wanted someone to grab it and bop her head with it...”

IMHO...that’s EXACTLY what she was hoping somebody in that crowd would do. The TP simply outclassed her.

Me too. There was something bizarre about the over sized gavel - it was like she was saying to us - from now on WE are the gavel - and a big one at that - we make the rules. Man, you are right, it still makes me want to puke!

Yep. You know I’ve been thinking that Slick Willie really, really is a pretty shrewd politician. When it looked like Obamacare had crashed on the rocks in comes Clinton with the narrative that the reason that the Dems got shellacked in 1994 was because they HADN’T passed Hillarycare. The base was p*ssed and stayed home. Anyone who was around at the time knew damn well the reason the Dems got their @ss’ kicked was precisely because they tried to PASS Hillarycare. And Bill knows it too and he knew that Obamacare would be a mess and he also knew it would result in another butt kicking for the Dems in the midterms. He rightly figured that the Democrat party would be in turmoil and most of the blame would attend to Obama. He and Hillary could ride in as the saviors. Notice how Hillary is keeping a low, low profile during the campaign? Putting a whole lot of distance between her and the Obozo.

Maybe I’m reading too much into this but it sure looks like the set up is there.
