National Democrats have asked the Federal Election Commission to investigate whether Arizona Sen. John McCain violated campaign finance laws when his campaign paid to run ads for Republican House candidates in Arizona charges the McCain campaign said are baseless.
The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee filed a FEC complaint Tuesday against McCain and his campaign committee, Friends of John McCain, because of recent ads backing Ruth McClung, the GOP nominee in Arizonas 7th District, and Jesse Kelly, who is running in the 8th District. The complaint also asks the FEC to investigate whether McClung, Kelly and their respective campaign committees were in violation of campaign finance laws.
The TV commercials for Kelly and McClung include the standard disclaimer required by McCains namesake landmark campaign finance legislation, paid for by Friends of John McCain, and feature McCain himself announcing, Im John McCain and I approve this message.
Yet if McCain is spending more than $4,800 on each ad the legal limit for a political contribution its likely hes breaking the campaign finance law, Democrats say in the complaint.

John McCain is trying to help out Ruth McClung, a great candidate. Is the hatred of JM so strong here that you can’t give him credit for his efforts?

See what happens when you “cross the aisle”, Senator? You reach out with an olive branch and draw back a bloody stump!
I feel no sympathy for this dude, at all.
I'll give him credit when two wrongs make a right, newbie.
Pity.
Sure! Right after we finish with Pimp-daddy Rangel and Nutcase Waters.
Personally, I’d love for McManiac to get busted.
Well, will I agree with you, I actually blame McCain for many other things! He should have been ousted years ago.
Never confuse effort with results, because you can be sure the rest of us won’t.
You betcha!
Well, I don’t give him any credit Newbie! He has been the anti-Republican for years and I doubt that his ideas have changed!
His ideas haven't changed.
McCain is a two-faced political chameleon, just like Romney.
GUILTY! Run the bum outta town.
Quick, John!
Send your porcine, brain-dead daughter out to some more Sunday talk shows to save your hide...
LOL.
I loved it when John McCain beat that phony Hayworth, didn’t you? Hayworth was Mr. Pork Barrell himself.
Heh, I’m glad you took my “Newbie statement” well...and you should. New people are not necessarily left or right, good or bad...have to give them a chance and grade them on their comments.
As to McCain, he needs to go - unfortunately, he is probably in his last years and won’t run again. I just hope that he does not do his Liberal part in destroying what is coming. Either he gets with the Tea Party, or he dies by the Tea Party...his choice.
I don't know if hatred is the right word.
Perhaps abhorrence, abomination, acrimony, anathema, animosity, animus, antagonism, antipathy, aversion, contempt, detestation, disapproval, disgust, displeasure, distaste, enmity, execration, grievance, gripe, hostility, invidiousness, loathing, malevolence, malignity, odium, repugnance, repulsion, revulsion, or venom might be better.
Or, hatred.
Disappointing, so far only one of the ‘McCain is a hero’ patrol found this thread.
Hayworth is not phony.
His Ideas have changed, until November 3.
