The Spanish-language station Univision has announced it will no longer air ads telling Latinos to stay home on Election Day.
"Don't vote this November," the English version of the ads says, while playing images of Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and other Democrats. "This is the only way to send them a clear message: 'You can no longer take us for granted.' Don't vote."
A group called Latinos for Reform, led by Robert de Posada, a former Republican National Committee official, is behind the ads.
The decision to pull the ads came after a wave of outrage from Latino leaders.
"I think there's nothing more cynical than to encourage people to make themselves irrelevant," Arturo Vargas, director of the nonpartisan National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials, told The Upshot. "I hope Univision makes the decision not to run the ads."

“RINO sabotage to save Reid?”
You think that depressing the pro-amnesty Hispanic vote in Nevada would be a *good* thing for Reid’s campaign? I don’t know whether De Posada is or is not a RINO, but there is no doubt that if he convinces pro-amnesty Hispanics not to vote this November he’d be doing God’s work.

We should refuses to acknowledge Latinos and African Americans as a separate group.
Republican’s don’t need to be involved in playing race warfare. Republicans that do are helping the democrats in perpetuating this false idenity War, who’s only real objective is to create a whole group of people who are slaves to their racial identity rather then the contents of their hearts!
I mean why? For that matter why are private corporations like Fox news creating dedicated news media networks? Does being Latino make you unable to read the same news networks as everyone and anyone else? What news could possably apply to just 1 “race” of people?
Do all Latinos occupy a particular region or share a common government in which news worthy and important things happen effecting them exclusively?
Why are we segregating ourselfs around racial lines it makes no sense unless you buy the racist assertion that the color of our skin makes us a fundamentally different class of person...?
What is with this?
We should all vote and campaign against any republican that does anything like this just like we vote against leftist-racist democrats.
Men like De Posada should have no place in the Republican party.

Isn't that a form of censorship of Free Speech? They don't mind running ads calling Sharron Angle an extremist.

Ok, hate me, but as an ad man.... this is pure genius. Alinsky tactics turned on the left.
I don't hate you, I agree with you. This is why the GOP gets elections stolen from them. The DemocRATS cheat their way to victory; they play hard ball and the GOP is a bunch of wussies, or a word that rhymes with wussies. I'm just surprised to see so many "politically correct" wussies here on FRee Republic. Just Damn!!!
