Federal spending. Note the years, and who was in charge. And then tell me that Republicans haven't been just as responsible, or should I say irresponsible, as the Democrats.

It's a two-legged, Republican/Democrat socialist beast, but it's all one beast.

That's mostly mandatory democrat programs like social security and medicare and Bush's military spending. You and the liberal media have the same graphs.

Discretionary government spending as a percentage of GDP decreased during Republican Congress.

Number of government workers per 1000 population didn't increase during Republican Congress.

I don't care what you say. What you say means nothing. I know democrats created almost all government agencies and social security and medicare which account for most spending increases and have 99 trillion dollars of unfunded liabilities.

You prove the point - Republicans are more fiscally responsible.

The lowest rise in 40 years was under a solid Republican majority in Congress ... the same solid Republican majority that balanced the budget, by slowing spending growth, from 1994 to 1999. As % of GDP, spending under GOP Congress then went DOWN.

On November 2nd, America will return GOP to a House majority. And they will prove to be more fiscally conservative than the outrageous tax-and-spend Democrats under Pelosi.

Great, start from 1965, and miss out on the Eisenhower administration.

You do know right, that this has been a feature since 1917. What important event happened to massively change the electorate in 1917? Go on, I’ll wait.
