We’re not allowed to wear the Goliad Flag into my local polling place either.
At the same time, someone wearing a Che shirt was turned away last time I was there as well as someone wearing a CodePink shirt. Again, that’s the rules here in TX and at least at my polling place they apply to everyone equally.
You should get the rules changed. It is up to the states.
It is, in fact, up to the states. This is the rule in Texas, and I don’t have a problem with it.
If wearing the Gadesen flag is considered a political act, this country is in deep trouble. I am sorry you are happy with these restrictions. We are giving away our freedoms with a wimper. America needs to wake up.
I agree. If people decide to “have some cojones,” wear their Gadsden regalia to their polling places, and are then prevented from voting due to “electioneering,” guess which party’s candidates benefit.
psst - it also means that the jackasses can’t bring in Mexican flags, La Raza shirts, or anything else provocative.
Your right on that...any one that didn’t vote because they refused to take off a button doesn’t deserve to vote. I have complained about people being too close to the polling place and have someone go out and tell them to move closer to the roadway and farther out of the parking lot....I didn’t care which political party it was....
Vote in tight groups. MOA if possible...
Actually, it is different. The Gadsden flag represents the struggle to free the colonies from the oppression of the crown. You don’t get much more “American” than that.
If the democrats or others view the Gadsden Flag as being antithetical to their values, that’s their problem.
No, it’s not. Go look up the history of the Goliad flag.
Also, look up the Gonzales flag. Been turned away for wearing that - and rightly so - but it’s no different than the Gasden flag.
