(CNN) –- Sarah Palin is shrugging off a recent column from New York Times columnist Maureen Dowd - or rather Maureen “O’Dowd” - in which Dowd called Palin the “queen bee” of mean girls.
"That's so funny, because I don't think I've ever met that gal, Maureen Dowd - O'Dowd - whatever the heck her name is,” said a laughing Palin Monday in an interview with Fox News.
I don't think I've ever met her, and I don't think - she probably hasn't met [Arizona Gov.] Jan Brewer or some of these other wonderful, pleasant, gracious, nice, hard-working mama grizzlies who are wanting to turn this country around.
“So Maureen can say whatever she says. I encourage the other mama grizzlies and liberty-loving Americans to just keep smiling."
In her column Sunday, Dowd identified Brewer, Palin, Delaware Senate candidate Christine O'Donnell, California gubernatorial candidate Meg Whitman, California Senate candidate Carly Fiorina, Connecticut Senate candidate Linda McMahon, Nevada Senate candidate Sharron Angle, and Rep. Michele Bachmann as "grown-up versions of those teenage tormentors who would steal your boyfriend, spray-paint your locker and, just for good measure, spread rumors that you were pregnant."

She actually answered several questions for cnn yesterday, I watched it at c4p. A guy in the back ground yelled in the back ground “Will you be our next president .. please?” It was good.
And that in a nutshell is where liberals come from. They've got a chip on their shoulder because they believe they were somehow slighted or picked on in their childhood. What they fail to understand is that this happens to everyone. But MOST people grow up and get over it. Liberal don't. They exact revenge by enacting regulations and laws to get back at their supposed enemies.
CNN can do nothing more than get its news from FOX...How sweet that is...Wonder if they (CNN) will ever get it through their thick skulls that conservatives support thes ources of fair news?
That is such a bizarre caricature that it must be true to Dowd. I know she has no kids, I wonder how many times she's been pregnant ? How sad her life is.

Makes you wonder how Maureen’s high school years were. Did she get knock up or something? Funny coming from a chick that is the intellectual equal of the high school cheerleading squad. Guess she missed the fact that Sarah was a player, not a sweet POA in a skirt jumping up and down and yelling.

That might be true for some of them, but by my reckoning, most of them are just venal busybodies who find gratification regulating and micromanaging the lives of others.

Sounds like Maureen O’Dowd wasn’t liked too well
in high school at least by her peers, the school
football team maybe.
Her name is Maureen Shroud! And she’s spent the better part of her career writing one catty hit piece after another usually targeting Republicans and Republican women. If anyone is a middle aged “Mean Girl” fading into obscurity, upset that her “patch” is being infringed on, it HER!
You do know who she is Sarah, she's in those Zoro movies...Or is that Michael Douglas' other girlfriend?
Nothing worse you can say to a person from the "elites" in an age of celebrity culture and "don't you know who I am?"
Maybe she was the girls gym teacher’s pet, if you catch my drift.
