The Crisis Is Over: Bank Of America Is Set To Begin Foreclosures Again

Bank of America says it plans to start re-submitting foreclosures in 23 states next week, and that all in all the foreclosure-gate stuff will affect about 30,000 mortgages. A spokesperson told WSJ that it had not found a single case of a foreclosure without justification, which is key.

Foreclosures should have never been halted. Yes, there may be questions on the actual title-holder, but it’s damn sure not the one that is living there rent free.
“No way could they have traced ownership of over 70,000 titles in the past few days.”
Not saying this as a defender of the big banks, but they could have done an audit trail sampling.
This was a political sop to the communists that own them.
You might want to take a gander at this. BOA is whistling past the PSA yard...
BTW - if you have Firefox, you can get the Flashblock and Flash Killer add-ons.
They're great. I like Flashblock the best.
A voice of moderation and sanity.
We shall see.
You have to remember: this hypberbole appeals to those who think that life is a plot.
We took out a mortgage with a local bank - who sold it to Countrywide, who sold it/was taken over by BOA. We didn’t set out to do business with BOA.
Ha ha.
Nothing is over.
lol same here!
I’m having a tough time getting this straight. Maybe someone can help me out. If USBank originated my loan and then sold it to Freddie Mac does that now mean that USBank no longer holds the note (and therefore has no interest in the property except for servicing the loan}then they cannot bring a foreclose proceeding against me? Would Freddie Mac have to proceed with foreclosure?
This may go away for now, but by next spring it will be time to get the popcorn ready.
The bastards at Bof A say my mortgage was originated by Ginny Mae, so they cant give me the "Streamline Refinance" because it is not fannie/freddie, even though I have made every payment on time they say "go to hell and keep paying" even though I am strugglinhg to pay, they would just LOVE to foreclose in a new york minute and take the house for pennies on the dollar
OH it’s all fixed. I am so relieved. /sarc
Families have literally paid their bills on time and instead of taking money off their mortgage the banks have actually ADDED money to it. Other citizens have had their homes, which were NOT in foreclosure, actually broken into in an attempt to change the locks. We are witnessing the big banks blatantly robbing American citizen with little to no help from our Federal Government.
The big banks have already robbed America for trillions of dollars and are deeply involved in the staged economic collapse of America.
Hideous.
THx for the ping.
Yep—right into the Republicans lap. And this can’s got fuse!
Me too.
I admit upfront that I am ignorant when it comes to economics. However, I’m thinking out loud here, if we are sick of banks running this country, isn’t there something we could do? Pull our money out of the banks to send a message? I admit I don’t know what to do.But we have GOT to stop this thievery by the congress and the banks. Its up to us!
