The latest submission to Islam comes to us from the meat industry in both Europe and the United States. Recently I have been reporting on the little-noted but explosive new revelations that much of the meat in Europe is being processed as halal and sold without the halal label. This is not the exception, but the rule, and the people are being betrayed by their own elected officials. And it’s happening here, too.
Yes, folks, if you’re in Europe, and in many areas in America as well, the meat you are eating is probably halal, unless you’re keeping kosher. In a little-known strike against freedom, yet again, we are being forced into consuming meat slaughtered by means of a barbaric, torturous and inhuman method: Islamic slaughter.
Where are the PETA clowns and the ridiculous celebs who pose naked on giant billboards for PETA and “animal rights”? They would rather see people die of cancer or AIDS than see animals used in drug testing, but torturous and painful Islamic slaughter is OK.
Many people have written to me saying that they simply won’t eat halal meat, as they object to the methods used to slaughter the animal. And I agree. The Sharia term for halal slaughter is dhakat. Dhakat is to slaughter an animal by cutting the trachea, the esophagus, and the jugular vein, letting the blood drain out while saying “Bismillah allahu akbar”—in the name of Allah the greatest.

Yeah, but, - a little known fact is that the meat is then dipped in pig fat before further processing. I’m not sure about the chemistry, but maybe it it has to do with enzymes.
Seriously people, who gives a crap? if the animal is killed with a spike to the brain or a knife to the throat, I don’t see why anyone should care. As long as it doesn’t raise the cost of the meat, I don’t care if it’s halal or not.

More facts are definitely needed: like who specfically, which plants specifically? And what is the point if there is no labeling? Who would be the target market?

Don’t. I work in a related industry, and there is a lot of pressure for beef and poultry to be slaughtered according to Halal standards.
Opens up a lot of markets, and keeps you out of trouble.

Christians should care. It’s not just how they slaughter the animal. It’s also dedicated to Allah as an offering. Christians may want to read the Bible to see how God feels about eating something that has been offered to idols.
The market is big enough for some plants to change, but not so powerful that all the production is labeled Halal.
St Paul basicaly said it is no problem, but don’t do it as part of the sacrifical meal.

Are you kidding me? I don’t know where you got that idea but there is no way. Try looking a Muslim in the eye and call his god Yahweh.
Well, what I mean is that who really cares what method is used. If they can make some minor inexpensive alteration in the process just so they can claim Halal for those that want it, that’s just good business sense.
