Mitt Romney’s political operation raised $1.7 million from July through September, again pacing the field of prospective 2012 GOP presidential hopefuls.

The former Massachusetts governor, who lost a bid for the 2008 Republican presidential nomination and is widely believed to be preparing another run, has built a robust political operation including political action committees at the federal level and in five states with strategic significance in the pending battle for the Republican nomination: Iowa, New Hampshire, Alabama, South Carolina and Michigan.

I hope Sarah and Demint get in, so they can call out all these imposters!

"Former Mitt Romney presidential campaign staffers…
have been involved in spreading anti-Palin spin to reporters, seeking to diminish her standing after the election.
'Sarah Palin is a lightweight, she won't be the first, not even the third, person people will think of when it comes to 2012,'
says one former Romney aide…
'The only serious candidate ready to challenge to lead the Republican Party is Mitt Romney.
"Some former Romney aides were behind the recent leaks to media, including CNN, that Governor Sarah Palin was a 'diva' and was going off message intentionally."

The Palmetto Scoop reported:
"The sources said nearly 80 percent of Romney’s former staff was absorbed by McCain and these individuals were responsible for what amounts to a premeditated, last-minute sabotage of Palin."
that Palin would be a serious contender for the Republican nomination in 2012 or 2016, which made her a threat to another presidential quest by Romney.

"Peeking Out From the McCain Wreckage: Mitt Romney"

"Someone's got to say it: IS MITT ROMNEY RESPONSIBLE FOR OBAMA'S VICTORY?"

"Vanity: Team Romney Sabotaged Palin and Continuing to Do So?"

"Romney Supporters Trashing Palin"

"Romney advisors sniping at Palin?"

Poor sport spoiler Romney doing what he does best:

Novak: "Fred Thompson drop-out rumors traced to Romney campaign"

Said Novak: "The rumors were traced in part to Mitt Romney's campaign,
trying to stir up strife between McCain and Thompson
."

"Despite outspending his rivals by huge margins throughout the primaries,
(Mitt Romney, Carpetbagger UT,CA,MA,NH,Mexico) lost Iowa, South Carolina, Florida and California.
The only primaries he won were in Michigan, where Dad was governor; LDS states;
and a few states on Super Tuesday in which his California-obsessed rivals
couldn't spare the cash to advertise.
Only John Connolly in 1968 had a worse cash-to-delegates ratio.
And John McCain rightly did not like Romney's tactics during the primaries.
(W)hen (Romney's early leads) started slipping away, he resorted to unfair,
distorted, scorched-earth negative ads, betting that his opponents couldn't
afford to spend enough for the truth to catch up to his charges."

If Marvel comics ever wants a model for “Plastic Man” — spineless, mindless, shapeless, and shameless — they need look no further than this guy.

I’ve always been suspect of his authenticity. Then, when I interviews him at CPAC two years ago, my worse suspicions were confirmed. My first question was, “How do you feel about our new president at this point?” His response, “Well, of course, I wish him well.”

Say what?!

One look at Romney, and you know that he is the kind of guy who, if you were starving and needed a buck to keep you alive, would flash that phony, crinkly-eyed smile and say, “Gee, I really wish I could help you.”

GOP_Lady, nice to see you here on this thread.

This thread reports that Mitt Romney received money
From the Ground Zero Victory Mosque (abomination).
Comments?

“Bain Capital, has cut checks totaling $90,000 to Romney’s operation. “

"(The GroundZero Mosque) cleared its final hurdle ….
developers plan to build the $100 million center which will include a mosque.
Since its incipient stages in July 2009, when a Muslim-run real-estate development
company purchased the damaged, vacant building and land where the new center
will be built, the project has sparked controversy and debate.
.... the tattered building that was bought by the Muslim real estate company had
been owned by a subsidiary of Bain Capital, a company Romney founded in 1984.

So it’s OK if his company can profit off the sale of the land ."

"The fact that in Mohammedan law every woman must belong
to some man as his absolute property - either as a child,
a wife, or a concubine - must delay the final extinction of slavery
until the faith of Islam has ceased to be a great power among men."

[Winston Churchill, 1899, "The River War"]

" In Islam, every structure linked to the faith and its rituals has a precise function and character.
A mosque is a one-story gallery built around an atrium with a mihrab (a niche pointing to Mecca)
and one, or in the case of Shiites two, minarets.
This 13-story multifunctional structure couldn't be any of the above.
The groups fighting for the project know this; this is why they sometimes call it an Islamic cultural center.
But there is no such thing as an Islamic culture.
The Prophet imposed his rule on parts of Arabia through a series of ghazvas, or razzias (the origin of the English word "raid").

The ghazva was designed to terrorize the infidels, convince them that their civilization was doomed and force them to submit
to Islamic rule. Those who participated in the ghazva were known as the ghazis, or raiders.
After each ghazva, the Prophet ordered the creation of a rabat -- or a point of contact at the heart of the infidel territory raided.
The rabat consisted of an area for prayer, a section for the raiders to eat and rest and facilities to train and prepare
for future razzias. Later Muslim rulers used the tactic of ghazva to conquer territory in the Persian and Byzantine empires.
After each raid, they built a rabat to prepare for the next razzia.

It is no coincidence that Islamists routinely use the term ghazva to describe the 9/11 attacks against New York and Washington.
The terrorists who carried out the attack are referred to as ghazis or shahids (martyrs).
Thus, building a rabat close to Ground Zero would be in accordance with a tradition started by the Prophet.
To all those who believe and hope that the 9/11 ghazva would lead to the destruction of the American "Great Satan,"
this would be of great symbolic value."

The Leftist media is trying to pick out the Republican presidential nominee again. Not so fast this time. They know that a true conservative (that is someone that does not support a health insurance purchasing mandate for one thing) will be hard to beat in 2012.
So he has raised $1.7 million, BFD! We know that this time the presidential candidate will need to spend one billion dollars again if not more. That’s what it took for zero last time.
There’s a long way and at this stage we are only a couple hundred yards into the marathon.

What do alleged "jobs" have to do with it?
How could you possibly be so cold to this?

Also, as regards real jobs, Mitt Romney is a proven-failed
loser, unlike Gov. Palin.
Are you cold to this, too?

"As U.S. real output grew 13 percent between 2002 and 2006, Massachusetts trailed at 9 percent.
* Manufacturing employment fell 7 percent nationwide those years, but sank 14 percent under Romney, placing Massachusetts 48th among the states.
* Between fall 2003 and autumn 2006, U.S. job growth averaged 5.4 percent, nearly three times Massachusetts' anemic 1.9 percent pace.
* While 8 million Americans over age 16 found work between 2002 and 2006, the number of employed Massachusetts residents actually declined by 8,500 during those years.
"Massachusetts was the only state to have failed to post any gain in its pool of employed residents," professors Sum and McLaughlin concluded.
In an April 2003 meeting with the Massachusetts congressional delegation in Washington, Romney failed to endorse President Bush's $726 billion tax-cut proposal."

[Cato Institute annual Fiscal Policy Report Card - America's Governors, 2004.]

Alex Beam: “In truth, Ronald Reagan
and Mitt Romney have as much in common
as Cardinal O’Malley and Conan O’Brien.
Deservedly or not, Reagan earned a reputation for constancy.
Once he turned against communism, he opposed it big-time.
…. And our former governor? Inconstancy, thy name is Mitt!
A woman’s right to choose? Yes! No! Yes!
Are we in Massachusetts? Yes! Are we in Iowa? No!
Are we on TV? Whatever!”

If RINOmney is the Republican candidate for POTUS,
we’re screwed. +20% of the country consistently says
they will not vote for a mormon. Why start by running a
RINO that will give up +20% of the vote???

If he captures the nomination, I’ll be fishing that
day...

Skip it chump!

You had your moment in the sun.

This last election was suppose to be one about competitive ideologies.

Instead, you and the other R candidates decided to make nice, glad hand each other and even glad hand the competition.

You had no ideas that demonstrated a stark difference between you and the Democrats nor that of your intracompetitors.

You gave one speech with the verve and supposed conviction we were looking for and sadly that was your concession speech.

Further, we are in the midst of deconstructing Obamacare and you have a little background problem analagous to that.

So the question is:

How are you going to run against yourself? Because you are pretty much going to fight that battle every time you are seen or heard from.

If Mitt saw Sarah Palin’s speech in Anaheim tonight, I would venture to guess that he soiled several sets of “magic undies” and is currently hiding under his bed.

While Mitt collects big bucks from his buddies, Sarah keeps circling the board, collecting $200 for passing Go and building houses and hotels.

His Ceausescu moment is coming really soon.

Probably wont have to line him up against a wall to make him go away, but one place he most definitely will not be is at the top of the ticket as the GOP POTUS nominee in 2012.

Then I guess we will have to it without you. 0Bama is not Clintoon, Clintoon was a DINO and had no problem pretending he was conservative Zero won’t be able to pull it off. The Whitehouse is everything from Jan 2013 to Jan 2017 because of Supreme Court. Others in Iowa, New Hamshire and South Carolina will pick our nominee. WHO IS YOUR REP IN YOUR STATEHOUSE? When the SC sends the abortion issue back to the states, will you be ready. We have an election in 17 days. Are you ready!

Mittens Romney, starring in “McLose II”. No thanks, I've seen that movie before and it has a crummy ending. Sarah, starring in “President Palin”, is a much better flick and guaranteed box office gold.

“Then I guess we will have to it without you.”

Yes, you will have to give to RINOmney,
knock on doors
for RINOmney,
make phone calls for RINOmney,
vote for RINOmney...

... and then watch him crash and burn just like McCain.

You will have plenty of time to second guess your support
for RINOmney during Obama’s second swearing in ceremony.

“The Whitehouse is everything from Jan 2013 to Jan 2017 because of Supreme Court.”

Obviously, you’d better do your best to help nominate a
conservative candidate, huh?
