Thank you. I’ve seen that, and in fact, have posted it to a thread. At one time I don’t think you could have found a more enthusiastic supporter of Rice than me.
Now, it seems that skin colour trumps all with her, and that is a huge disappointment to me.

Are you kidding me? Go back about five years and read Freerepublic. I'd say the majority of folks here thought Colon Powell and Condi Rice should be the POTUS. I'm guessing most of that majority couldn't see past the color of their skin.

I assume that Condi Rice was following President Bush’s lead in not being openly critical of the Obama administration while they are in office. The gist of her statement is that Obama is doing nothing that is openly hostile to the welfare of the US. BIG DEAL!
Sorry to say Condi Rice is toeing the race line that has been set.

It is a pretty straightforward declaration, in my opinion.

There are principled black conservatives. It was Alan Keyes’ dissection of Obama’s position and arguments during the BAIPA debates which first alerted me to what a void Obama truly is.
The problem is that people like Colin Powell and Condoleezza Rice never were conservatives in the first place. Rove proves the common factor in the ‘betrayals’ by ‘conservatives’ is not race, it is the maskirovka from the Republican establishment during the past 22 years, and who put these people in their positions. One could call it voodoo conservatism.

If she opened her mouth for that short a time and had the jewels about Obama has America’s interests at heart and Hilary Clinton is doing a fine job...
That says something right there.
Maybe the good sista was just relying on Obama’s proclamation that we could “absorb” another terror attack on US soil. Heck, that right there is proof of Obama being a “defender of America’s interests”. Add to that, the wonderful job he’s doing with our economy and we should feel defended all over the place.
By golly, that Rice is sure a smart lady.

Condi appears to be following GW’s lead. Stay bland and away from the fray.
Imagine if she had said: “Obama should fire Hillary - put a battalion on the Mexican border and bomb Iran”?
Of course, we don’t know what kind of advice Obama asked of her.
