No sign Meek or Crist will drop out -- but chatter builds

Three weeks from election day, the math is clear:
So long as nonpartisan candidate Charlie Crist and Democrat Kendrick Meek divvy up Democratic votes, Republican Marco Rubio is poised to comfortably win a U.S. Senate seat.
There is zero evidence either Meek or Crist is remotely considering dropping out, but that's not stopping growing speculation fueled by Gov. Crist's allies. It's a sign of deep trouble for Meek that less than a week before early voting starts the Miami congressman has to repeatedly deny talk of quitting and defend his decision to continue campaigning.
``I just have a feeling that Rubio is going to win, and it scares the hell out of me. That's why I'm urging people to vote for Charlie Crist,'' said Ellie Forte, 80, an ardent Democratic activist who had been volunteering for Meek until recently concluding Meek can't win.
The average of recent polls compiled by Pollster.com shows Rubio pulling 43.6 percent support, Crist 28.4 percent and Meek with 21.4 percent, suggesting the only real contest is whether Crist or Meek finishes in second place.
**SNIP**
Still, a growing number of Democrats rooting for Crist are keeping hope alive.
"If he were offered something interesting enough by the president of the United States, why wouldn't you take a complete loss and turn it into something useful," said Andre Fladell, a leading Palm Beach Democratic operative. "If it's about what's best for the country, step aside, if it's about what's best for the Democratic party, step aside, if it's about what's best for Kendrick Meek, well, you decide."

That's called a bribe.
Ellie Forte, 80, sounds like a racist, bigoted DemocRAT that hates Hispanics.
Exactly.
Big guaranteed bribes are currently being offered by the Obama Regime to whoever is more corrupt.
There is a 100% chance Meek will withdraw by this time next Friday.
> That’s called a bribe.
Yeah, but what’s the big deal?
Black Panthers discouraging the Crackah vote?
No problem.
Overseas Military ballots never got sent out?
No problem.
President’s Wookie Wife electioneering in a voting location?
No problem.
This administration is above the law. The law is made for little people like you and me. We are dispensible little workers in the hive. 0bama is the Queen Bee and the Black Panthers, the First Wookie, and his “tsars” and cabinet ministers are the drones.
Do Meek’s and Crist’s numbers total greater than Rubio’s?
Hehehehe, some of the RATS are throwing Meek under the bus and other RATS are dragging him back out and dusting him off. Another Black man not getting respect by RATS.
I think there is every reason to believe that the Democrats would come in third in a lot of states if there was a real moderate party out there.
Plus, this Meeks guy sounds really useless.
Dont quit Crist! C’mon Dems keep pouring your money into a lost cause.
The southern cracker DemocRATS throwing yet ANOTHER black man under the bus.
Dems will do whatever it takes to win.
How many black rats are going to come out and vote for Charlie after he has flip-flopped from being a pub to well...whatever he is today, which will surely be different from whatever he will become on election? All Rubio has to do is make a few ads of a montage of Charlie flipping back and forth on several key issues and he’s done.
Too late. Early voting starts Monday. He'll be on every ballot.
Normally I’d agree, but the Dems in Florida wants to win the governorship and they can’t if Meek drops out and depress the Dem vote.
The party apparatchiks need the governorship for their local payoffs, as long as Sink is close with Scott they will not want Meek to drop out.
How many ways can you say “Holy Cr*p!!”?
There is no light at the end of the tunnel for Democrats, only the headlight of an oncoming express.
It’s already been stated elsewhere. If it appears that Meek is being bought off or forced out by the dems, the blacks will stay home and Alex Sink, who needs every dem vote, can kiss the governorship good bye.
Besides, I really don’t think it matters anymore if one or the other drops out. There will be so much turmoil and confusion in the democratic party, Rubio will probably pick up even more support and will win anyway.
If Crist dropped out, Meek would not stand a chance. Rubio is clearly ahead. Meek would have to drop out, but as he has said, he ran in a primary and won. Crist just appointed himself as a candidate.
Is Obama going to offer him SecNav?
Because Andre, that is completely illegal, even for an ignorant liberal
