President Barack Obama, campaigning tomorrow in Massachusetts for Gov. Deval Patrick, can only hope things will turn out better than they did the last time he campaigned here.
That was when, not counting two fundraisers, he stumped the state for fellow Democrat Attorney General Martha Coakley who, despite the president's endorsement, was beaten by Republican Scott Brown in January's special election to fill the seat of the late Sen. Edward M. Kennedy. No doubt Obama hopes history will not repeat itself with his friend Patrick.

She wasn’ beat...she was beat up....100k vote discrepancy for a Pubbie in Mass is an absolute thrashing...
Granting the source, but let’s not say ‘despite’, let’s say ‘because’.
You really have to wonder, at what point will this man recognize that he is toxic and radioactive. If he had any sense, he’d start campaigning for Republicans because all he does is drive people to whatever is the other side.
Same with Bill White, former Mayor of Houston running for Texas Governor. Yes he’s a Dem too!
Its amazing cause it is ALWAYS somebody elses fault with these guys!
Hope he puts in a word for Barney.
...and yet the best the Ma. GOP can come up with is Charlie Baker and Richard Tisei...

And there’s a strong chance she’ll get beat again this year for the AG spot: By a GOP candidate that won a spot on the general ballot as a write-in.
YOU SUCK MARCIA!!!
That’s why I’m voting for Jill Stein.
...Just as bad as Deval,IMHO...

The only good thing to come out of a Kennedy mouth in years...
Good one - very true!!!
That would be epic if croakly lost again. It would cement her legacy as a storied loser.
A write-in candidate (not McKenna’s fault at all, but the MA GOP’s fault, I point this out to show the MA GOP’s utter uselessness) to be only down 9 to the sitting AG who just ran for the US Senate 8 months ago and has national name recognition (well Marsha is close enough to Martha, right)? Just for that she's a burnt piece of toast.
Maybe she and Blanche Lincoln can get a talk show on CNN: “Marsha and Blanche: Blueprint for Epic Fail”. Hell, it couldn't get much lower ratings than the Spitzer show does.
