Ignorance of the law is no defense, and had that been any one of us, we’d be charged.

As a former ACORN official turned whistleblower, Anita Moncrief knows a thing or two about electioneering. In fact, in the months leading up to the 2008 election, she had been in contact with a writer at the New York Times - Stephanie Strom - about how the Obama campaign was corrupting the voting process.
Taken in the context of Michelle Obama’s alleged comments inside a polling station days before the 2010 elections, the first lady has added yet another sad chapter in the questionable practices of Team Obama and the electoral process, including the case involving the New Black Panther Party and the Journolist scandal.
It appears that Michelle Obama has violated Illinois state law by not only urging voters to support her husband’s agenda while voting within 100 ft. of a polling station; she did so while actually inside the polling station.
Moncrief became alarmed in 2008 when she learned that the Obama campaign gave ACORN the soon-to-be president’s 2007 donor list. The reason this was done was so that the community organizing group could target Obama’s maxed-out presidential donors. This was clearly illegal and a huge scandal. Moncrief and Strom were in contact with one another using e-mail pseudonymns until New York Times management pulled the plug on the story.
