What a man is this President Sebastian Pinera of Chile! He believes in God and is not afraid to say so. He doesn't care about being ridiculed by the American Civil Liberties Union or its Chilean equivalent: He orders church bells to be rung to celebrate the amazing, truly miraculous rescue of 33 miners trapped underground for more than two months in his country's San Jose mine.
Pinera doesn't give endlessly long speeches that are packed with so many weightless, meaningless clichés that they rise out of sight and out of memory as soon as the worthless, empty words are uttered. When Sebastian Pinera simply says, We are not the same Chile we were 69 days ago, he brings tears to the eyes of millions of people far beyond the borders of his own admirable country.
In other words, Sebastian Pinera is not Barack Obama. Pinera is a real leader for the 21st century. He is a real man.

Obama didn't call in the best experts personally from around the world. He didn't put the vast resources of the United States government or assemble the unmatchable expertise of the U.S. oil industry, the best in the world, on the job. He just sat back passively and let RP -- sorry, BP make things worse.
Also, can anyone imagine Zero Soetero singing the U.S. National Anthem with the same zest, passion and commitment that Pinera sang the Chilean national anthem?
Not. even. close.
He cannot learn it. He is not cut from leadership cloth. He has no humility. A leader is humble.
Can you even imagine Obama and his wife comforting the miners and their families for almost 48 hours straight? They do their best to avoid associating with non-celebrities.
I wish we could. It seems as if every day something happens that makes Obama's glaring ineptitude and unfounded arrogance seem like the poor substitute for leadership it always was. Too late now. Remember when he was 'historic'? Now he's just hapless.
The Imam’s arrogance and self-love precludes his learning anything from anyone.
He’s missing character, honor, pride, humility, and love for ones country.
Our National Anthem or The Internationale?
Stand up, damned of the Earth
Stand up, prisoners of hunger
Reason thunders in its volcano
This is the eruption of the end
Of the past let us make a clean slate
Enslaved masses, stand up, stand up
The world is about to change its foundation
We are nothing, let us be all
This is the final struggle
Let us group together, and tomorrow
The Internationale
Will be human race
There are no supreme saviours
Neither God, nor Caesar, nor tribune.
Producers, let us save ourselves
Decree the common salvation
So that the thief expires,
So that the spirit be pulled from its prison,
Let us fan the forge ourselves
Strike the iron while it is hot
This is the final struggle
Let us group together, and tomorrow
The Internationale
Will be the human race
The State oppresses and the law cheats
Tax bleeds the unfortunate
No duty is imposed on the rich
The rights of the poor is an empty phrase
Enough languishing in custody
Equality wants other laws:
No rights without duties, she says,
Equally, no duties without rights
This is the final struggle
Let us group together, and tomorrow
The Internationale
Will be the human race
Hideous in their apotheosis
The kings of the mine and of the rail
Have they ever done anything other
Than steal work?
Inside the safeboxes of the gang,
What work had created melted.
By ordering that they give it back
The people want only their due.
This is the final struggle
Let us group together, and tomorrow
The Internationale
Will be the human race
The kings made us drunk with fumes,
Peace among us, war to the tyrants!
Let the armies go on strike,
Stocks in the air, and break ranks
If they insist, these cannibals
On making heroes of us,
They will know soon that our bullets
Are for our own generals
This is the final struggle
Let us group together, and tomorrow
The Internationale
Will be the human race
Workers, peasants, we are
The great party of labourers
The earth belongs only to men
The idle will go to reside elsewhere
How much of our flesh have they consumed,
But if these ravens, these vultures
Disappeared one of these days
The sun will shine forever
This is the final struggle
Let us group together, and tomorrow
The International
Will be the mankind
It was so refreshing to see a real leader who loves his country instead of himself and who recognizes a power greater than government.
I, I, I, me, me, me, my, my, my obama and herself would have been total distractions.
LOL It could be the UAW fight song.
Obama won’t learn anything from Pinera. He doesn’t have to because he already knows everything.
Chile is probably the most economically advanced country in Latin America. They took lessons from Milton Friedman. They also are a military ally of the United States. If we are ever attacked Chilean ships will help defend our west coast and Hawaii. They are not another Mexico.
Chi chi chi le le le!
At best, they would each offer a fist bump.
The contrast between Barack Obama and Sebastian Pinera is night and day.
DumBO probably offered to come down for the rescue, so the rescued could worship at the foot of the One for divine deliverance.
There is nothing for Obama to learn, he already knows it all.
obama needs to go back to the cub scouts and start over...somewhere along the way he confused getting attention by waving your arms and talking bad about your opponents, as “leadership”, when it’s really just being a rabble rouser.
It's not for nothing that he has been called the "man-child." He's a perpetual teenager: No training necessary! Already knows everything!!
