Will see what happens. Lakin may have thrown in the towel to minimize the damage to himself, but in his heart, I doubt that he thinks that Obama is qualified for office. Furthermore, the government hasn’t proved their assertion that Obama can legally holds office and the effort to unmask Obama will still go on.

I'm certain Lakin doesn't believe Obama is qualified for office. Why else would he have put himself in this position?

The government has never been asked to prove that Obama is qualified for office. What Judge Lind said in this case is that the question of whether Obama is qualified or not has nothing to with the lawfulness of Lakin’s orders. By both the Constitution and duly enacted statute, that's a slam dunk. That's why my basic position is that Lakin chose the wrong vehicle to pursue this issue.

I suspect you're right. So what? The issue at the Lakin trial has nothing to do with what LTC Lakin believes about the President's eligibility -- even if he's right.

No one's doubting Lakin's right to have an opinion. But nothing concerning presidential eligibility has any bearing on the legality of his orders. The judge said that, and now his own lawyer is saying the same thing.

And of course many others said the same thing early in the game, long before he chose to commit his crimes. He was foolish to pursue a course that was clearly in violation of the law, and he will pay the price for his criminality.
