Politicians pandering for votes. I’m sure there are people who are behind and expect to be foreclosed on who, when seeing the state claiming fraud, immediately think “Man, they’re trying to screw me.” And who will they vote for?

I know a guy who’s as liberal as they come who thinks McCain is wonderful because he got the guy’s loan modified. The head honho at BOA actually called the guy and told him he was calling to help him because McCain had asked him to.

So, do any of the bank-loving retards here on FR still want to argue that it’s all just about a bunch of deadbeats who refused to pay their mortgages?

not really, the courts created this mess by ignoring the law in order to clear dockets.

this is beyond mere sloppy paperwork. we are in outright fraud territory. Inflated prices, fake documents, untracable transfers, etc.

This is no longer about a mere foreclosure.

The solution is to strip the mortgage off the property and leave only an usecured promissory note payable to “SOMEBODY” if they can prove chain of custody.

Yes, and let's place their mortgage payments in escrow until the chain is discovered. And, if the mortgagees default, they can move out and the property can be auctioned with a dirty title; all of this can be neatly handled by a court-appointed trust. Bring it on.

So are you a bank-hater?

My mortgage is current, but for the record, are you willing to carry anyone who defaults?
