Its BS on steroids from the Chamber. Mark Levin laid out the real skinny on this bunch of political insiders to match the NRA and the VFW. The Chamber is virtually endorsing and sending campaign money to most of the incumbent Democrats. The people are being played still by the inside the beltway establishment.

Snip - For example, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce proclaims on its website: “As the voice of business, the Chamber’s core purpose is to fight for free enterprise before Congress, the White House, regulatory agencies, the courts, the court of public opinion, and governments around the world.” Yet, in the face of the most far-reaching assault on our free-enterprise system since the New Deal by the current Democratic Congress, the Chamber has issued endorsements of at least ten Democrats.

Everyone needs to read the entire transcript to realize how useless the “Ruling Class” organizations are to We The People.

Obama and Company have really poked the wrong guy in the eye on this one. He is basically telling all business owners to pound sand but on the other side of the coin the unions can funnel $150mm into the campaign. And at the same time we have government union pensions bleeding red.

US Chamber of Commerce Contributions to Federal Candidates

The donations listed on this page seem to be about what I would expect from a business organization. They tend to go 50-50. I don’t know there are any business organizations whose political donations would be 100% Levin approved.

But with the onslaught on the Dems ad villifying them and then looking at the endorsed candidates vs. challengers, there is something not right about several of them.

A business organization should be all about business, not political payoffs and mob protection rackets. They are there to promote the free enterprise system. How does it advance the well being of business when they endorse candidates who have a record of voting against interest of business? Especially when the opponent has a pro business record.

If this is what we have to expect from what are considered conservative values lobbyists, then they are not worth our support, unless you are among those who support the current status of the “Ruling Class” and enjoy your life mired in serfdom.

Actually, no. You wrote “The Chamber is virtually endorsing and sending campaign money to most of the incumbent Democrats.”

I went and looked at the COC political donations for this cycle and found that they have given $12,000 to ‘Rats and $67,000 to Republican candidates for Federal Office this cycle. That is better than the 50-50 split I assumed it would be. Look at the recipients yourself. There are some solid, pro business conservatives on the list such as Thune,Vitter, Toomey and others. Maybe they just don't believe that alienating a large chunk of the population by being 100% conservative on everything is the way for them to go. Believe it or not, some 'Rats own businesses and belong to the COC also. I don't know of many large organizations that are 100% conservative including the Republican party. Going strictly by the listed donations, I would have to rate the COC at least as conservative as the NRC. Sorry, I just do not agree that they are an evil entity scheming to keep my “life mired in serfdom.”

Post #12 should read “Last year...” not “Lawrence year.”

Damn Android “smart” phone.

The good news is that it finishes words for you. The bad news is that half of the words aren’t the ones you were typing.
