Without all the big money, they’d go back to being small time thugs.

What you say is very true. And we can win. But it would be a lot better if ALL of our own government was on the right side of this fight.

But US vs. US. And we won that, too

Kind of inevitable really, when you think about it.

They'd move on to other big time things, kidnapping for ransom, smuggling terrorists and weapons, which is already happening.

The drug gangs are already actively supporting communist and islamic terrorists.

“The drug gangs are already actively supporting communist and islamic terrorists.”

And how is this an argument against cutting off their largest source of funding ?

What are you talking about? Please explain how legalizing or decriminalizing cocaine, heroin and marijuana (which has never worked by the way) will lead to a lessening of communist insurgency, gang violence or terrorist attacks.

Heard a commnet at a dinner party, an American who should have known better. He said mexico is having similar problems as Colombia had a few years ago. Several Colombians let him have it! Politely but to the point LOL.
The jest of it was Colombians, as with most other Latins do not think too highly of mexicans. Totally different.

What do you mean by “has never worked” ? More like has never been tried.

It will lead to a reduction in gang violence, by reducing the money available to them. Communist insurgents(FARC) and terrorists (Taliban) use the drug trade as a major source of income. The US is the major destination for those drugs, figure it out.

Who is to say they weren’t armed and she just chucked the firearms in the lake?

I want to believe her as much as anybody but what fool takes his young wife into Mexico in an area where drug lords rule? This is something out of a “don’t open that door, oh no, he opened the door, how stupid” plot in a movie.

By the way, did you happen to catch that the criminals just decapitated the Mexican that was assigned to investigate this event.

Santeria sounds right. Human skulls seem to factor into their worship, as a sacred totem or object of veneration.

Yeah, it's worked oh so well in Colombia, Mexico and Holland.

That’s a lie. Mexico has only legalized possession of limited amounts of marijuana. The rest of the supply chain, cultivation and distribution is still illegal.

The same goes for Colombia and Holland.

Decriminalization will not cut off one source of money to the Cartels, Legalization will.
