Jon Stewart is a smart and funny guy. As any regular visitor to Mediaite knows, we are big fans of his incisive and entertaining commentary on the often absurd intersection of media and politics. But that doesnt mean we always agree with his point-of-view; take for example his take down of MSNBCs new campaign to re-brand themselves with the phrase Lean Forward. In the following segment, Mr. Stewart makes a lot funny jokes, but perhaps its a little early to dismiss an entire ad campaign.

Lean forward, get Teabagged.
Where’s Jon been?
We’ve been all over this for a week or so...
I think Barney Frank was being helpful when he suggested it to them.
Stewart is a lefty, but I have to give him credit. After the annointing of The One, he was the only mainstream comedian I saw making Obama jokes.
Or, as Rush put it, “Lean forward, this won’t hurt a bit.”
Wheres Jon been?

I don’t know...reading FR perhaps?
"LEAN FORWARD"
Am I the only one who doesn’t think Jon Stewart, drenched with uber-irony, is not funny? I’ve watched a few times and am always so turned off as the audience squeals with laughter after each not so funny line. Yeah, he and Colbert are real knee slappers. And Barry is the smartest guy in the room. Keep telling yourself these things, leftist fools.
Stewart has never made me laugh. Ever. He is one unfunny man.
I don’t find him funny even if he is lampooning Liberals to do better.
Meh.
"Derp!"
Why doesn’t he give more money to the gubmint. I mean, in keeping with his rateology.
If you spin around a little you get a little dizzy. Kind of fun if you do it once and for a short time, especially if you're a kid. However, if you spin around a lot, you get sick and people will think you are demented, especially if you're an adult.
My analogy to Jon Stewart
Colbert is funny. Funnier than Stewart.
Can one of our resident wizzes change the language on this poster to reflect MSNBC's new line?
Should be “Bend Over”.
Lean Forward... this won't hurt a bit
I always thought the “Fair and Balanced” was a tongue in cheek response to the rest of the media. Its an unffocial slogan that the media claim to be, that they’re fair and balanced, but they’re really all left wing. Thats why this slogan gets under their skin
