Pissant, this is insane. You're citing a niche poll two years out as if it means something.

I'm struggling to think of a reason for this extraordinary one-man vendetta of yours, and the only thing I can think of is that Palin ran over your dog and then reversed back over him.

Am I close?

It does mean something. Specifically, it means that Sarah Palin is nowhere near as popular among the general public as her ardent supporters would have you think. It's a measure of people's perceptions of her qualifications.

Note that it's really more than a 16-point gap for Palin -- there's that other 10% who would vote for neither her nor Obama.

But of course, none of that matters to a True Believer.
