The lonely president. Barack Obama is increasingly isolated, and scorned by his own supporters
Telegraph UK ^ | 10/11/10 | Niles Gardiner

“Isolated, insular, arrogant and clueless.” These are not the words of Rush Limbaugh or Glenn Beck, two of America’s fiercest critics of the Obama administration. It is the blunt assessment of the Obama White House by Mark Halperin, editor-at-large and senior political analyst for Time Magazine, for decades a publication at the very heart of the liberal media establishment, and owned by Time Warner, the parent company of CNN.

For anyone who still doubts that Barack Obama is in serious trouble, take a look at Halperin’s searing article, “Why Obama is Losing the Political War”, which is nothing short of a damning indictment of the president’s first 20 months in office. Here’s what Halperin has to say in the latest issue of Time:

Barack Obama is being politically crushed in a vise. From above, by elite opinion about his competence. From below, by mass anger and anxiety over unemployment. And it is too late for him to do anything about this predicament until after November’s elections.

You know, after hussein obama’s brash, self-serving, and insulting “I won” comment... Once we have a GOP/TEA controlled Congress, every piece of legislation they send to him, every veto over-ride they put through, I want them to send it to him with a sticky note that says “We won!” hussein is nothing but an anti-American, un-American socialist and he needs to be stopped right now.

So basically what we are seeing manifest 20 months into the Obama Administration is exactly what all the “racist right wing teabaggers” warned about — he is a clueless, inexperienced, extreme left-wing ideologue and narcissist who is trying to implement a plan that will destroy small business and the middle class backbone of this country, and he will push his agenda to the detriment of everyone around him.

Told ya so.

The only people surprised by what is happening to this administration are the people too stupid to pay attention in the first place.

Barack Obama cuts an increasingly lonely and forlorn figure in the White House, unloved by his country, and scorned by many of his closest supporters. Not exactly the change he had been hoping for.

Be careful of what you wish for, etx.

Just thinking of him whispering the words, “Rose Bud”,
give me a warm fuzzy feeling.

He may go Jonestown on us.

“By the way, I never remember any public statement by Bush blaming Clinton for any of his administration’s problems.” That is because Bush has class.

I see it more as a RINO, NWO wuss.

“I see it more as a RINO, NWO wuss. “

Well, I guess we all have our own perspective.

I find it to be bad form when a former president criticizes a current one. Bush’s restraint is, to me, mature and appreciated.

Jimmuh at least knew how to get along with Americans. The US might as well have elected a tomcat to the presidency in 2008.

He could always show his long form to deal the Republicans a powerful blow, making them look like conspiracy nuts.

Right, Barry?

Barry?

You haven't been paying much attention, have you Cobra?

There's a bunch of new Republicans coming along who have been listening to the American people.

You'd better believe things will change.........or they know they will lose their jobs and be replaced.

(btw, it must be tough on you guys who hate Republicans so much that your first thought on every thread about Obama is to blast them. You never seem to notice that Obama is pure evil. The rest of us will be thankful after election day, and you'll still be seething about Republicans. Sad).

He’s doing great from the perspective of “America sucks and we need to destroy it as soon as possible”.

I’ve been saying this for the last few months, the Clintonista’s smell blood in the water and are aiming to take Obama down. It just cracks me up to see Bill Clinton out there campaigning, you know he hates Obam and is loving every minute of these mid-terms. Losing the House and Senate couldn’t be better for Hillary.

You're making assumptions again.

I've mentioned many, many times that I like Pence, DeMint, Paul Ryan (one of the "Young Guns"), Duncan Hunter, Michelle Bachman, Sarah Palin, and a few other outspoken, staunch Conservatives. Where are the rest of the "R" representatives? Hmmmm? That's a rhetorical question, and not a request that you reply.

BTW, I thought you resigned from FR a few years ago because some of us criticized some of President Bush's policies.

Have a nice day!

LOL! Good joke, Cobra.

(Talk about 'assumptions.'........that's a crazy one, for sure. And dead wrong, btw.)

Good thing you don't hate ALL Republicans, though. I wouldn't want you to be despondent when we take the House and Senate in November, and the rest of us conservatives are jumping for joy. :)
