Delaware Politics- Chris Coons Pension Scam unfolds- how he bilked taxpayers for political cronies
Freedomist ^ | Monday, October 11th, 2010 | Paul Collier

According to Ron Williams in The News Journal, when Chris Coons served as the President of the County Council, he diverted untold millions of taxpayer dollars as payoffs to his political buddies and top staff. Coons did this by exploiting a loophole in the county’s pension program.

The loophole was originally meant to attract new county police officers, but Coons decided to use it as a cash cow to pay off his political hacks.

It’s the only Delaware paper.
Delawareans read it and the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Wow. They slammed Coons! I think that this type of corruption fits right into a campaign where the central issues are waste of government money, payoffs through bailouts to political causes rather than job creation in bailouts and stimulus, Obama and Co. ignoring the people and ramming through legislation that is their and their friends agenda. Hope O’Donnell’s campaign is ready to pick up that ball and run with it, because they can show the article on screen to show it’s not them that are saying it. 3 weeks. Hope they can cut a commercial like . . . right now.

This is one Coon that needs to be skinned.

Where is Davey Crockett when we need him?

>>>What is the News Journal? Is it a Delaware paper?<<<

We call it the Wilmington Daily Democrat...

Wilmington News Journal to Dems... Spouts their talking points 95% of the time - so you may rest assured any article they print has been watered down as much as they could if it looked bad for Dems.

Too polluted for wrapping fish, occasionally used in bird cages and puppy training papers.

This is excellent because DE voters don't care if a guy called himself a "bearded Marxist" 30 years ago.

They do care if a guy was helping his buddies skim millions from the public till in pensions that the DE taxpayer will be subsidizing for the next 20-30 years.

A 30 second spot highlighting the fact that Coons will rip off taxpayers to help his friends - and that Harry Reid considers him his "pet" - and you have a knockout negative ad that hits DE voters close to home and ties Coons to the national Democrats.

Setting aside the fact that O'Donnell's campaign - with millions of dollars - should have been all over this from day one, she had better get all over this now.

This is the debate right here.

Well, if they reported it then everyone will know it’s true, since they are ultimately on Coons side! You think this can swing the election?

Delaware will be paying for the next 30 years for Coon’s corruption. Endless pensions for little service in his county. It makes a killer ad. Can tie it to anything O’Donnell’s folks think hits hardest. Unemployment while Coon’s friends become pension millionaires. Harry Reid’s “pet.” Whatever : )

Absolutely. COD has to tell her communications advisers to knock off the “Ain’t-I-Oh-So-Cute” nonsense ads and use this to go after Coons like a bat out of hell

Every Marxist has his apparatchik. And now, Coons’ has been revealed.

Some cities and towns here in MA allow for city councilors and select-people to get the (practically) free municipal healthcare bene after only serving 2 terms (2-4 years).

Yes, 2 terms in a less than part-time job gets you that bene. Not bad, eh?

This would not get any traction in the MSM. They are more interested in witches and covens...

YOU ARE SO RIGHT, BUT, IF WE FORCE IT, THEY'LL HAVE TO COVER IT. LET'S DO IT!!! I'M FRIGGIN' PUMPED!!! THIS IS OUR OCTOBER SURPRISE.

Exactly, or perhaps they would report something to the effect: operating under a spell put on him by the witch O’donnel, Coons apparently errer helping some of the underclass stimulate the economy.

... just like the aholes of CT are forgiving Blooming-idiot for lying about serving in Vietnam.

Shall I start calling you an "ahole," because your Senators are curerently Feinstein and Boxer?

Those who live in California should realize exactly what kind of glass house they live in before they start calling those of us who happen to live in Connecticut "aholes."

Where did you get the mistaken notion that anyone around here was forgiving Blumen-fart anyway?

O’Donnell needs to run an political add on this: ASAP. Or a friendly group needs to be passed this information so that they can do so.

She needs to get this info inserted in an answer in the debate Wednesday. It can be documented and the News Journal can re-run the articles if she gets this info known.
