I categorically think she is not qualified. Maybe constitutionally, but the reality is she had only a short tenure as governor. Has little or no foreign policy experience or savvy. She appears to be a front-runner only in respect to the fact that she is a celebrity. Yet, having said all that she is infinitely more qualified than the current occupant of the white house who isn’t even fit for the job of community organizer.
If the question is asked by a reporter or other leftist, the only sensible answer is that she is more qualified than Obama was in '08 and would still be so if she had never been governor of Alaska - because she at least respects Americans and the Constitution, and Obama respects neither.

If the question is asked by a Republican who's not particularly conservative, the answer would be that with even so much as two years' experience as governor she was more qualified in '08 that John McCain was.

You show me someone who wouldn't quote Thomas Sowell on a bet, and I'll show you someone who lacks wisdom and therefore is not presidential timber. Palin does reference Sowell. She'll do.

Given our experience in '08 with not being able to nominate anyone any better than McCain, I think that if we can nominate Palin we should rejoice in our good fortune.

Granted that she is more favorable to special rights for women (i.e., Title 9) than I would like - but then, we can use a few womens' votes.

She absolutely mesmerizes me. I’m in the theatre and have a very good eye for star quality.

That has been exactly my feeling about her also. I too am involved with theatre. She has something that is so rare a quality it seems to appear only once in a lifetime. I am an old woman, yet sometimes when a new photo of her pops up on my screen, I gasp at the sheer beauty of her. It's not the kind of beauty that we normally think of, but something deeper. It is a spirit that escapes the physical being. Your comparison of her to Diana may be a valid one. I was never captivated by Diana, however. As a Christian, I see Sarah as Deborah, the warrior judge in the Old Testament.

Whether she ever becomes president or not, she has captured the heart of conservatives across this country. She has changed the course of history already.

A lot of people still miss her charisma. I sometimes think it takes a certain intuitiveness (that men often lack) to see the “star quality” in another human being. Happily, I’ve experienced the greatest theatre of the USA and Great Britain for about 30 years - and I know a star when I see one, lol.

I don’t see her in a biblical way at all. I see a lot of Western Frontier in her; pure Americana.

I'd like to see SPECIFICS on how Sarah Palin matches up to these requirements.

You can examine her political record for yourself, or just keep complaining about what you haven't heard. Whining gets old, she has a record attack it if you can, else what is your point?

Sarah has ALL the right qualifications, what seems to be the problem is some people just cannot accept the fact that America was built upon the reasoning anyone who qualifies CAN be POTUS.

Other than an occasional non-qualified person actually residing in the Whitehouse any natural born citizen of the USA can be elected.

Its just that some people have probably been raised their whole life believing women must travel behind a man and are there only to make babies.

THAT is how to handle a question like that, darlin'.

The question is not really is she qualified. What they are really saying is she is to stupid to be president, don't you agree?
