Former Jets quarterback Brett Favre allegedly threw a Hail Mary pass to a comely young sideline reporter for the team -- sending her an embarrassing slew of steamy propositions and lewd photos, according to a sports-news website.
The voice mails and MySpace messages -- as well as three raunchy pictures of a man's genitals -- were posted in a cringe-inducing two-minute video on the sports blog Deadspin.com.

I’m just kind of interested in seeing how this plays out compared to Tiger Woods.
My initial take on it too. He wants to go out on a high note, not being remembered as a perv.
Of course if he is innocent he can always do a comparison by an impartial doctor to determine if his is the one in the picture or not, that’s what I would do if my career legacy was on the line like his might be.

Seems to me we now have in our society a totally skewed idea of what a ‘strong man’ is. A strong man is someone who lives by a set of principles and has the strength to adhere to those principles no matter what the personal cost. A strong man is someone who has self control and who won't embarrass his family and those who believe in him. A strong man is someone who would go as far as giving his life for what he believes in.
I see lots of men I would put in the category of ‘a strong man’, including those young men who are putting their lives on the line for us every day in the war on terror, and those who ran up the stairs to their deaths in the World Trade Center. Most of them couldn't hit the open man 40 yards down field with a perfect spiral, but from where I sit they are 100x the man that a sports star who acts like Farve is alleged to have acted have ever been.
Behavior like what Farve is accused of is the behavior of poorly guided adolescent boys, not men.

Those perky female sideline reporters are part of the “chickifacation” of the NFL. The players wearing pink chinstraps last week was the last straw! Pink shoes too! What has this world come to?
Exactly. Whatever one thinks of Favre, I bet the pickup line “Hi, I’m Brett Favre. Would you like to go out?” would work better than 50% of the time.
