The Prince George's County Fire/EMS Department treated 36 people who attended President Obama's political rally at Bowie State University Thursday afternoon, including two who had illnesses not considered life-threatening and needed to be transported to a hospital, said Denise L. Dickens, the battalion chief at the department.

Most of those treated suffered from dizziness, but there was one confirmed case of fainting, said Tammi L. Thomas, director of university relations and marketing at Bowie State.

Dickens said today that she did not have further information about the two who were transported to the hospital.

Thomas said that Bowie State officials estimated the crowd size between 7,500 and 8,500 people. The temperature in Bowie was 71 degrees when the rally ended.

"The sun was extremely hot, they were packed shoulder-to-shoulder, and everyone was standing for a long time while they waited for it to start," said Mark Brady, spokesman for Fire/EMS. Brady added that most, but not all, of those treated were senior citizens.

Bowie State's Thomas said that some of the people were not dressed properly.

"If you remember, it rained all day Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, and it was chilly," Thomas said. "On Thursday it was sunny, but some of the people came dressed for chilly weather."

Obama went to the O'Malley rally in disguise. But someone asked him to sing The Shoop Shoop song (it's in his kiss)---so his cover was blown.

I think the 2008 fainting for joy is different than 2010 version of fainting from nausea.

Everyone that lives where we have winters knows that you layer your clothes. Especially in the spring and fall.

This event is so bloody bogus it would be embarrassing to anyone but a Democrat.

***Medic! Medic!” Just like it’s on the battlefield. ***

Wouldn’t Obama say...”Corpse man! Corpseman!”

Idiot RATS don't know how to take off jackets.

Well, that's probably true. But the article also says they were standing closely together "shoulder to shoulder." It seems likely to me that they couldn't move their arms to take off their jackets.

I once attended a Harvard-Yale pregame football rally, and it was one of the scariest things I've ever been involved with. The crowd was so close that I was picked up off my feet and swayed from side to side. Since I was on the library steps, I had to bend my knees to get my feet up further and avoid being thrown down and trampled.

I would imagine that this mob was something like that. Only it was probably pushed together by Obama's SEIU thugs, to make a better photo-op for him. Make the crowd more impressive for the cameras.

So those involved were pushed together, couldn't move their arms, and certainly couldn't get their jackets off. And then probably panic did the rest. Obama's fault.

I heard this too, and I have to say, listening to the clip that Rush played, Obama's voice sounded rather smug to me.

I'd say he gets quite a kick from having people "faint" in his presence.

Messiah complex, anyone???

If Obamaites “faint” listening to one of his boring speeches, what are they going to do when they see the election returns on Nov. 2nd???

We are told that Obama, being from ‘Hawaii’, likes the temp warm and toasty, so it is probably hiked up for his comfort, in additon to the fact that the idiots don’t know enought to take off their coats.

Did Zero’s minders think that the ‘fainting in the messiah’s presence’ was so successful before, they decided to try it again?

I thought those guys were supposed to be smart.

Fainting is back
What color and gender were the fainters? Were blacks or women "under-represented?" What about the queers, single moms and poooooor people?
Did white folks faint at the same rate or did they get more/better air?

I'm sure there is a very reasonable explanation...like they were fainting from the stench of all the crap Obama was spewing. Seems highly likely to me.
