Are you one of the 46 million Americans without health insurance? Well, you may not have that, uh, luxury for much longer. A federal judge in Michigan on Thursday dismissed one of more than 15 legal challenges to the new health care law, becoming the first to rule that the law is constitutional, reports The Timess Kevin Sack. The central question, which may ultimately fall to the Supreme Court, is whether the Commerce Clause of the Constitution gives Congress the authority to require citizens to obtain a commercial product, namely health insurance. Starting in 2014, the law will require most Americans to obtain health insurance

What do we know about that MI Judge?

The ruling is a travesty.
Read the Declaration of Independence.
All the way to the end.
And then tell me such a time as then has not come around again.
Hey, its a Michigan Fed. Judge in a bankrupt Democrat State, bought and paid for Verdict.
Insurrection in the other 49 States is called for. 3 more weeks until V day.
The usual NY Times propaganda disguised as reporting.
The judge has spoken. This law is constitutional. I mean, it is in there!
We need to respect the rule of law and realize that all you kooks that thought this was some sort of tyranny are just that - Kooks!
Don’t start talking about even more kookery like nullification or impeachment. You know that doesn’t work in this day of age. The government knows best. The high priest of the law has spoken.
Nullification or impeachment talk would just mean Dem majorities forever. Now, we just need to focus on the R legislative agenda to build government the way we want it built. The D’s won this one. Let’s just laugh about it and move on. The goal of the game is to tally up the legislative victories for your team, R or D, and whoever has the most by the end of the game wins.
(Do I need to point out that’s sarcasm? It is a paraphrase of attitudes I have seen around here though.)

It is time to just say "No" to government. That will be hard for lots of people, including lots of statist FReepers who just know they are right.
Ladies and gentlemen, your attention please; welcome to fascism.
The federal court in Michigan has affirmed any and all economic activity OR the lack thereof is under the jurisdiction of the federal government and may be regulated accordingly.
Examples...
“If a formal architect of fascism can be identified, it is Benito Mussolini, the onetime Marxist editor who, caught up in nationalist fervor, broke with the left as World War I approached and became Italys leader in 1922. Mussolini distinguished fascism from liberal capitalism in his 1928 autobiography:
The citizen in the Fascist State is no longer a selfish individual who has the anti-social right of rebelling against any law of the Collectivity. The Fascist State with its corporative conception puts men and their possibilities into productive work and interprets for them the duties they have to fulfill. (p. 280)
Before his foray into imperialism in 1935, Mussolini was often praised by prominent Americans and Britons, including Winston Churchill, for his economic program.
Similarly, Adolf Hitler, whose National Socialist (Nazi) Party adapted fascism to Germany beginning in 1933, said:
The state should retain supervision and each property owner should consider himself appointed by the state. It is his duty not to use his property against the interests of others among his own people. This is the crucial matter. The Third Reich will always retain its right to control the owners of property. (Barkai 1990, pp. 2627)”

If the Amish can opt out...and no doubt the muslims can too...then why can’t anyone else?
Do I really have to consecrate myself in the Church of Blessed John Galt?
“How is someone going to be able to pay $400 to $600 a month for coverage when they are eating peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for dinner?”
The government is going to take over all of the heath care system before that happens. They will use your argument(or similar argument) to do so...
