Spitzer may be right here. Obama doesnt give a crap about anything but himself. He might win back the left if he has a rep house for 2 years

And this was exactly what Rush was saying!
I need somebody to explain to me how this hopeless attitude motivates and inspires people to go out and vote Nov 2nd?
Rush spent almost the entire week pounding this negativity into the ground. If we give up hope because of what “might happen”, we’re doomed!

“uh, yup... Lots of trolls will be posting between now and November 4th”
That’s the ticket. Keep telling them election is Nov 4th. Meanwhile we’ll have shorter lines on the 2nd

Clinton was reelected because Dole ran against him.
Perot popped up again.
And no one knew about Monica yet.
Obama is incapable of going to the middle.
Obama's agenda will end on Nov.2.
I wish conservatives will stop looking for defeat in victory.

Well then we should just let the Democrats keep both Houses and show them we are onto their clever tactics.

In theory, if the Republicans take back the House, and Obama moves to the political middle, the Democrats would be able to place some blame on the Republicans if the country continues to suffer for the next two years. That could be just enough for Obama to be re-elected.
This was the same strategy used after the Republican victory in 1994. Bill Clinton was re-elected in 1996.
The only problem with that theory is that the country did NOT continue to "suffer" after the GOP won Congress in 1994. It benefitted. Clinton adopted many of the GOP ideas and claimed them as his own. THAT is why he won in 1996.
Now, then. Do you think Obama will do the same?

I listened to the same programs as you. Heard Rush say the same things but I got a different take.
I got that no matter what - the press and the prez are going to use the Republicans as the whipping boys. Get used to it, its coming.
He was saying “Don’t try and be nice because they ain’t gonna’ like you anyway.” “Don’t get lost on the power trip like you did last time.”

Here is the right analysis:
Obama does not WANT to lose the House, but he may see the polling as inevitable.
Obama loves campaigning, not working.
Obama will embrace his loss and turn the next two years into a continuous campaign against the GOP.
Whether Obama wins or loses in 2012 will depend on who runs againt him more than anything else.

I guess we could always rip the whip outta their hands and do a political Mapplethorpe on them.

Im just saying dont count your chickens before they hatch especially for an election more than 2 years away. A lot of tricks to be played yet. A lot of things to play out. And there is still a good 40-45% that support Obama.

I muffed the 2010 election date. Just tell your conservative friends: Vote the first Tuesday in November, and your liberal associates ... the 2nd Tuesday in November.

Clinton is a politician and was smart to take credit for the changes Repubs passed.
Obama is all about power and his agenda...and NOT real smart.
