With insightful backwards logic like this, the new CNN show Parker Spitzer is certain to be a runaway hit if just for the comedic value alone.
On CNNs Oct. 8 broadcast of Parker Spitzer, disgraced former New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer, the co-host of this program, trotted out a theory that seems so peculiar one might think he was pre-excusing what many feel is the eventual Republican takeover of the U.S. House of Representatives. (h/t Greg Pollowitz)
Let's switch gears for a second, Spitzer said. Earlier today or a couple days ago, Newt Gingrich said 60 seats would be the Republican pick-up. I've got a crazy theory for you. I think the White House wants to lose the House. It needs a foil. It needs an enemy. Agree or disagree?

I almost agree with this slimeball.
Is he ignorant, crazy, or a crazed baked-in-the-pie schizophrenic combination of retarded Liberalism and rabid Marxism?
Or BOTH?
Agree or disagree?
Cripes. How long will it be like this before we can just proceed to Third Manassas?
STFU. Stop The Federal Usurpation.
That is one goal I would wish the Bummer success in achieving.
In theory, if the Republicans take back the House, and Obama moves to the political middle, the Democrats would be able to place some blame on the Republicans if the country continues to suffer for the next two years. That could be just enough for Obama to be re-elected.
This was the same strategy used after the Republican victory in 1994. Bill Clinton was re-elected in 1996.
Historically, the electorate likes political balance in Washington. When one party begins to dominate and fail, people start to swing the other way. And this goes back and forth. After 2000 and 2004, the wave went towards the Republicans. In 2006 and 2008, it moved back to the Democrats. Now in 2010 it is moving back the other way. The electorate seems to want balance. And at the moment, there is no balance. But if the GOP takes over the House and the Speaker seat, that starts to look more balanced. And the GOP will begin to share blame for the federal government’s failings.
I agree with him. I hope the Rhinos don’t win big at all, sorry. Because Obama needs to go. And if the GOP take over in a massive way (which they won’t in the senate) you can say hello to Obama’s 2nd term.
It is part of Obamas master plan. Lose the House..Get investigated, then Ipeached and jailed.
they’re throwing in the towel.
I noticed a lot of “concern trolls” posting on this thread. They would love to see the GOP lose this election, supposedly to keep Obama from winning re-election. Load of happy horsesh!t.
And it’s successes .
He’s just “riding dirty” again...
Is it Spitzer's role at CNN to play 'the idiot', or is he doing that gratuitously?
Anybody who is paying even minimal attention certainly understands that Obama's modus operandi has always been the Alinski-inspired tactic of attacking his designated enemy. All tyrants (actual or would-be) follow that same pattern.
He does not need a Republican majority in the House in order to attack Republicans. He does not need a Republican majority in the House in order to designate Republicans as "The Enemy".
Disagree!
Obama has pushed through most everything he wanted and he is not done yet. There is no way he wants to LOSE control. He is desperate and it shows in what he is saying on the campaign trail. He’s in meltdown mode.
I’m with you. Obama doesn’t give a darn about his “allies”. He’s having fun golfing and running around with people kowtowing to him - all except heads of other countries, to whom he is bowing to prove to them we are no better than anyone else.
He’s delibrately setting it up so he can have his best chance to win in 2012. He forgets, of course, that Clinton stopped the far left stuff when he saw it wasn’t going to fly. I don’t credit Obama with being that sharp.
Deport him in shark infested waters.
uh, yup... Lots of trolls will be posting between now and November 4th.
Don't let anyone discourage you from voting. Flush as many of the Socialist scum as we can this November. Rinse and repeat in 2012 ... if not sooner.
I do, too. I think he may think he can replicate Clinton’s re-election after he lost the house.
Sounds like Spitzer has been listening to Rush. Rush spent the better part of this past week saying this very thing.
Speaking of which, I’m seriously having a hard time figuring Rush out lately. After Obama began inflicting his misery on the country, Rush said almost daily: “The only way we can turn this back is by winning the next (mid-term) election cycle.”
But for the past several weeks, Rush has been concluding, even if we win, we lose. That is, even if we win, Obama will use the GOP as the bad guy, and therefore slide into a 2nd term.
I’ve frankly had my fill of Rush’s negativity on this. I’m not saying he has to blow sunshine in our faces, but no matter happens, Rush has been concluding that it will be a net plus for Obama.
Rush can say all day long that he’s just trying to show us that Obama is different than the conventional politician, and that the fight will just begin after we win in the mid-terms...blah...blah, but his negativity is NOT inspring people to go out and vote. It’s simply helping to foster a hopeless attitude. And that is something we DO NOT need right now.
Maybe he should stick to talking about his upcoming appearances on the Family Guy, and Hanney Gulf stuff.
Spitzer may be right here. Obama doesn’t give a crap about anything but himself. He might win back the left if he has a rep house for 2 years
