The student in question obviously got shoved around, and technically, he could say he was assaulted, but I didn't see any actual beat down. I'm not saying he wasn't beaten up, but I sure didn't see it.
That said, the coarse language and rough treatment of someone who doesn't worship their Obamessiah isn't surprising, nor is it acceptable political conduct.
Then again, the student was obviously looking for a confrontation. Is this sort of thing helpful? Wouldn't we be better off recruiting and educating Americans, rather than this sort of confrontational sensationalism? Personally, I don't see the benefit, although it must have felt wonderful to get to vent some frustration at the symbolic figurehead of the treasonous progressive power structure.
So THIS is what Bill Ayers and his scag wife menat by “speaking truth to power”.
Will the House of Representatives censure this student?
“..it’s the seriousness of the charge”
When you actually DO speak truth to power, when you actually do stand up and put something on the line and say something that needs to be said, then you get told to shut up.
Another Truther (good kind)?
I nominate your comment as “Freeper Comment O’ the Day.”
Congratulations.
While it may be TRUE — it is NOT helpful in this case. This student (and his accomplices) were simply following “Rules For Radicals” by Saul Alinsky. Now, I think Conservatives, who live by better principles, shouldn’t stoop to such as that. BUT, if turnabout is fair play, I’m not sure the Progressives can EXPECT any better.... Still, we needn’t go there.
And they say conservatives are the angry ones.
Rush just mentioned this story.
"Speaking truth to power" and that sort of nonsense is only applicable when those in power are Republicans or white conservatives.
As this sort of behavior was directed towards Bush it helped enhance the perception that it was okay to despise the president. It also lowered his esteem as people found the behavior comical. There plainly was an overall effect. The left knows this. Thats why they don’t want their hero the zero treated in the same way.
This is America. If he doesn’t earn respect then none need be accorded him.
Maybe, but if this regime continues with the current communists in Congress for another year, the student may be executed as a counterrevolutionary for crimes against the state!
I'm exaggerating for now, but so far, our liberties are going away fast!
“Will the government figure out his identity and then harass him?”
Don’t forget the Mendoza’s and the “you suck” comment to Bill Clinton. Not only were they grilled by the Secret Service, but I think they were audited by the IRS. Clinton’s abuses always got a ‘pass’ from the MSM. Bush would have been impeached.
“Maybe, but if this regime continues with the current communists in Congress for another year, the student may be executed as a counterrevolutionary for crimes against the state!”
Maybe that kid will win next year’s Nobel Peace Prize. He can share it with Joe Wilson.
We can continue to take the high road, and keep having our *sses handed to us, or we can get down in the mud & wrassle some pigs.
Just because we get down in he mud & wrassle some pigs, that DOES NOT make us pigs. If it did, then we were no better than the Germans or Japs in WWII.
IOW, sometimes you just do what needs to be done to win.
He has to qualify first. If he proves beyond doubt that he's a communist, he will definitely be in the running. Only an accomplished, unabashed Communist could beat him.
It's the Communist criteria, stupid!
This young man is the ROSA PARK of our time. LOL!
Taking steps back in the name of civility every time the left encroached on the bounds of decency has gotten us standing at the edge of a cliff.
It’s fight or die now.
We’ve seen what happens when good men do nothing.
