"..Gallup just came out and said unemployment for September made a huge jump to 10.1 percent, most of it happening in the later part of the month...."
I don't think that shows up in the Bureau of Labor Statistics Figure tomorrow because the change was late in the month. The number 9.7% was quoted below.
Mediocre job report expected for September
"..Main Street will not believe recession over until the unemployment rate comes down, Basile said.
Unfortunately, economists expect the unemployment rate to rise for the second straight month in September to 9.7%, which would mark the highest rate since May...."
That should not help the Democrats much, but over 10% from the Bureau of Labor Statistics would have absolutely slaughtered them. That is too bad especially since the over 10% figure is closer to reality. The Gallup article is linked at Drudge twice in red to that effect.
We won't be hearing the 10.1% figure from MSM.

Guaranteed....Obama won’t be able to resist an uncouth/ungracious comment about O’Donnell.

Obama To Campaign For Coons LOL I suppose this was inevitable. OF COURSE Obama would campaign for coons. I'm sure he has a long history of campaigning for coons.

Coons is obviously far worse that I had originally expected...And it appears to me that Biden is using up what is left of his clout to fight for this embarrassment.
I don’t know what Coons does with his pets...But I am pretty sure I know what Reid does. And that is scary enough.
Once the speechifying is over, we can play it back to them in ads and other mockery...It will be doubly entertaining when he loses.

Hmmm..something aint right here..Isnt Coons up by around 15-19 points..why the heck would Obama or Biden need to go up there if Coons has the election in the bag..maybe the polls arent what they appear to me and she is closer than we think She may be closer than 15-19 points, but this gives ZERO a chance to look like a hero by showing up with a candidate that wins. It's great though that Democrats are being forced to campaign in "gimmee" states like Washington and Connecticut. It means we have the momentum.

I think the answer may be simpler than that.
First, I think the Dems truly believe that Coons is going to beat O'Donnell in a walkover. May not happen, but that IS what they believe right now.
I think that the Dems also believe that they are going to get well and truly shellacked in November. Lose the House, come VERY close to losing the Senate.
Given that, the White House is probably looking past the 2010 elections to how they're going to govern in 2011 and 2012 to win reelection. That means shoring up their base and making sure that whatever is left in the Dem party after this November is marching in lockstep (goosestep?) with them.
Part of that is going to be the ability to make the case to "The Faithful" that the Dems who lost in 2010 did so because they DIDN'T fully embrace the President.
So what they're going to do is put Obama and Biden out into what they feel are the safe contests, so they can claim on the day after the election that wherever Obama/Biden went, the Dems won and won big.
BS of course. At least to any reasoning, rational person. Which the hard core Left and Obamanistas aren't. Lets assume that the recent polls out of Delaware are indeed accurate ... I'm willing to bet that the White House would be willing to do things that would cut Coon's projected margin of victory in HALF to be able to allow Gibbs to get on TV the morning after the election and claim responsibility for the victory.

It seems that Plouffe is the "...... key architect of Democrats' midterm campaign strategy...." and he thinks the One New Guy the Democrats have in the lead in the polls is the one to campaign for.
Plouffe is sending both Obama and Biden to campaign for Coons.

Two thoughts...
1) if Coons really had the race in the bag, why would 0bama waste time campaigning for him?
2) perhaps the answer to 1) is that Coons is the only candidate that will be seen with 0bama.

Good evening.
The title is racist, unless the post is speaking of raccoons. Then again, in DE, besides McDonald, a raccoon would be an improvement for the Senate.

Not only, allegedly, is Coons way up in the polls, what puzzles me is ...Why Obama?
BIDEN...he’s the guy that should be coming to Delaware. Biden is Delaware’s native son....Obama?
That’s strange.
