This is what I have always believed was ONE of the reasons for not showing his records. The fact is he was an average or less student that was advanced because of the color of his skin. If he had high SAT’s, etc. we would have seen them just like when we were told Gore was so much smarter than Bush because he scored 50-100 pts higher on his SAT tests.

To be fair to Mondale, “idiot board” is the slang name for teleprompters in the communications industry.

It doesn’t mean that the teleprompter is an idiot. It means the USER is an idiot, incapable of saying anything without being prompted.
