Green groups are running from a new British advocacy video in which environmentalists deal death to those who refuse to cut their carbon footprints.
The four-minute video -- produced by the London-based group 10:10 -- features a host of celebrities encouraging the public to work to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions by 10 percent.
It also features a scene in which a schoolteacher explodes two students who refuse to take part in the campaign, turning the children into a red soup and covering their classmates with gore. In subsequent vignettes, office workers, a former soccer great and "X-Files" star Gillian Anderson all become wall decorations after refusing to join in.
The film was intended to be comedic, the group says, but it sparked a critical backlash and was pulled from the 10:10 website Friday only hours after its release.
"With climate change becoming increasingly threatening, and decreasingly talked about in the media, we wanted to find a way to bring this critical issue back into the headlines whilst making people laugh," the group wrote in a post on its website.
"Many found the resulting film extremely funny, but unfortunately some didn't, and we sincerely apologise to anybody we have offended," the group said. "Oh well, we live and learn."
The group has scratched plans to distribute the video to theaters but said it will not attempt to censor other versions of the video available online.
U.S. environmental groups -- including those that had counted 10:10 among their partners -- are recoiling.
Among them is 350.org, the group founded by environmentalist Bill McKibben, which released a statement saying it had nothing to do with the video and denouncing it as "the complete opposite of everything we and this movement stand for." See The rest of the article in comments.

I didn't say Google, I said YouTube. We were discussing Youtube. I said I could not find the video there on a search. I know how to use Google.
I searched on YouTube and could not find the video. I had heard it was removed from the search engine on that site, and wanted you to confirm it.
In the time it took for us to go back and forth on this, you could have already done that for me 100 times.

I knew a liberal jerk who used to say the worst things, and also stab people in the back like crazy. When caught, he always would say something like:
"Hey! I was just pullin' your chain!"
Right. These people are foul.
The "Global Warming" (and now "Climate Change") worshipers are nothing but pagans who know not God or His works.
BTW, I love the "Climate Change" demagoguery. It is a "Heads I Win, Tail You Lose" choice of words, because no matter what the weather is, they can say it is because of "Climate Change."
You might want to scrutinize any future entertainment that reatures Hugh Grant or Rowan Atkinson as Curtis tends to work with them frequently.

I understood what you said. Please allow me to explain. I did a search on “You Tube” for 10:10 but was unable to locate the video as you described. I concur that I was unable to locate it on “You Tube” using 10:10. but then said that I did find it on Google but only when I used Google Real Time Search.
The bottom line is I agree with what you’ve said about “You Tube” and hope this clears up any misunderstanding. I sincerely apologize for any confusion, misinterpretation my reply may have caused.
Makes you wonder what the “10:10” stands for, doesn’t it?
The first “10” I get...reduce carbon emissions by 10%...easy to understand. However, I don’t get what the SECOND “10 “ means.
Maybe it means “Reduce the human population by 10%”!
10 years. Reduce 10% in 10 years.
Funny thing is I’ve done much better than that, and I don’t even believe in global warming, I just think it’s not conservative to waste energy or unncessarily pollute the environment.
