House Republican Conference Chairman Mike Pence (R-Ind.) was spotted in Iowa over the weekend speaking at just the type of banquet that attracts a presidential candidate: the 10th Annual Friends of the Family Banquet for the Iowa Faith and Freedom Coalition and the Iowa Christian Alliance Education Fund.
Pence would definitely fit the bill for a strong fiscally conservative candidate with traditional family values. He was the surprise winner of the Family Research Council's Voter Values 2010 Summit in September edging out Mike Huckabee, Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich and Sarah Palin.
For those who may be unfamiliar with Pence's solid articulation of conservative principles, this weekend's Iowa speech: (snip)
"Following our election losses in 2006 and 2008, most Republicans were still sure of our principles, but we were pretty uncertain about the future. I mean, a year ago it seemed like it was only a remnant of people in this country unbowed by the glamour and the appeal of the new American left.

Pence in 2012? Works for me.
House members don’t get elected President.
For example, Romney, Newt, Huckabee, Giuliani...you know, the same retreads who couldn’t beat out McCain for the nomination the last time around.
Neither do one term senators with questionable pasts and incredibly liberal leanings and yet look where we are.
I like the sound of it.

-000bama is not even a one-term Senator. He quit 33% into his term.
Mike is a good man. Sarah needs a VP. Mike would fit the position.
Either do 1/2 term senators. Guess what?

Chris Christie would be a better debtor against 0 than Pence, I think. But I don’t think Christie wants to be POTUS, at least not within the next few years.
Well, just imagine if we’d had a non-RINO candidate who actually wanted to win.
Chris Christie would never get my vote unless he does a 180 on the 2nd Amendment.
My preference would be DeMint, but I could live with MPence. Almost anybody but O or Mitt.
Pence/Brewer ???
I don’t see Brewer being that effective. She was forced into backing SB1070 and has done a good job defending that. Aside from that, he governorship in AZ is most noted for raising taxes.
I’d rather see an combination of these: Pence, DeMint, Steve King, Mike Rounds, Barbour, Bolton, Hunter, Arpaio, Inhofe, Bachmann, and Franks
I believe that the main reason the Obamanater got where he is,is because he promised he would clean up Bush’s mess and end the war and bring the soldiers home. People were sick of a war that seemed like it would never end.Now he’s not doing anything but making a mess over there,associating with questionable people,and pissing off the Jews.He’s history,but not soon enough.Iran wants to unify the middle east and stand as a world power.If Obama is allowed to sit quiet,alot of scary things will happen in the next two years.2012 might not be a myth.
I support Pence. I cannot stand the RINO’s.
