I figured that, but the Lt Gov job is often dead-end. Sec of State has more to do, too. Aside from Blanco, who won the Gov’s office openly, no Lt Governor has succeeded an incumbent via resignation or death since Earl Long in 1939 when he replaced Richard Leche (who resigned due to corruption). I don’t expect Jindal to go to the Presidency, so I figure the only other out would be if he runs against Mary Landrieu in 2014.
Louisiana politicians ain't known for being the sharpest pencils in the box. I really think the "Blanco" thing is in his mind.
so I figure the only other out would be if he runs against Mary Landrieu in 2014.
I really hope he does because that is the one sure way to get the "Whore from Naw'lins" out of the senate.
He's just about the only person who can take down Sister Saint Mary.
