Video and photos taken today after the One Nation Working Together Rally concluded show that participants left significant amounts of trash at memorials in our nation's capital dedicated to fallen American servicemen.
The World War II Memorial on the National Mall, which is opposite the Lincoln Memorial where the rally was held this afternoon, had food trash and rally signs all around the granite seating along the perimeter of the Pacific side of the memorial. Colorful signs bearing the logo of rally co-sponsor SEIU are prevalant. Among the signs and water bottles strewn about is what looks like an uneaten Twinkie carelessly dropped at the edge of a fountain commemorating the hard-fought victory in the Pacific theater.
A man wearing what appears to be an SEIU t-shirt is seen sitting near the discarded signs.

Hostagehoosier also posted a video of trash left at the Lincoln Memorial here.
Memorial Bridge, which crosses the Potomac River between the Lincoln Memorial and Arlington National Cemetery, was littered with identical cardboard lunch boxes. The boxed lunches were given free of charge to union and NAACP members, along with free t-shirts, free Metro fare cards and free bus rides from across the country to the rally.Freeper Stratman1969 posted several photographs at his Marooned in Marin blog that shows the trash left on Memorial Bridge.
The trash was most likely left by these people as they headed across Memorial Bridge to the rally:
What else did you expect from a bunch of hired union bastards?
How nice
The crowd was much smaller than Beck's, but more disgraceful to our National Monuments, and literally trashed DC and some our more important National Monuments.
Some people were ordered to attend (UNION WORKERS).
Is Adolf Hitler alive and giving orders to folks? That is what this sounds like.
This will probably be a rally for Obama and DUmmies to forget... But I guess they will HUFF and PUFF about this from the Huffington Post...
That last looks just like the onset of one of Nuremberg rallies.
One HotAir commentator said about 33,000 actually showed up.
bump
I bet that D.C. won’t be sending a bill for the cleanup to the organizers.
Looks like “free” box lunches.
Predictable.
The trash at the WW2 Memorial is disgusting. Jerks!!!
Trash in—trash out.
the load dropped in the dc is nothing compared to what they do in the municipalities they control.
the untouchable human trash is worse than mere rubbish.
This is a consistent pattern - every single time a liberal/socialist group has a big “Get together” in DC, they leave behind all sorts of garbage.
Contrast that with conservative gatherings, which generally leave the parks better than they were found.
I recall the giant rally last year being contrasted with The One’s inauguration... and how the Real patriots left the mall and area impressively clean, while The One’s event left it looking like a slum/ghetto/trash heap.
Same was true after the “Million Man March”...
What did the grounds look like after Beck’s event last month?
typical...
Thanks Kristinn!
I was there, it was amazing. There was NO trash scattered around the Beck rally. The trash cans were overflowing, as is usual for these things, but all loose trash was carefully piled around the cans. If the Park Service had simply left boxes of leaf bags and wire ties next to the trash cans, you can bet they would have been neatly filled and sealed.
Everyone had been asked beforehand NOT to bring signs as this was officially NOT a political jamboree and any U.S.A. flags being waved had been brought by individuals NOT distributed beforehand by “organizers”.
I saw a close-up of some of those “red” shirts. They said “Young Communist League” on them. Anyone surprised?
All those boxes look EXACTLY alike!
Obviously something that was given out by some big organization, free lunch, free t-shirt, free pre-printed sign, the whole megillah.
What mindless sheeple!
You’re right. No bill for them. The lefty unions are golden in Dumplin Ears’ book.
