Hey Indianapolis! Let's buy those chookies --- and (munch munch) make a call to the Mayor.
- there are other bakeries in town that will make the sodomites' muffins, they should go there.
This is beside the point. What if, by some strange coincidence, Just Cookies was the only bakery in town? Would that change the situation?
It needs to be forcefully stated that not under any circumstance should the Stockton's be forced to compromise their moral values - even if they were the only bakery in the entire state.
- they should have been told that it would be three weeks to complete the order and at an exorbitant cost.
No, we should never lie to cover for our moral convictions. Ever.
- The owners should make them taste terrible, overbake them, anything to ensure a flop at the "Gay" event.
No. Again, this would be covering for their moral convictions, as well as being conniving, which is a leftist characteristic. The Stocktons should do everything to their utmost, and only attempt to do that which doesn't support perversion.
What's old adage? "Anything worth doing, is worth doing well." This has never been so apt as here.
I hope the Stocktons win this one. They were clearly targeted.
The libs are preaching tolerance - yet being intolerant of the store owners because of their beliefs! What's the lib message: Be "tolerant" or we'll put you out of business? I guess the libs could do with a little practicing what they preach. They're tolerant of any perversion, but can't seem to tolerate people with convictions.
We're supposed to get along with everyone, yet they see it as their mission to not only to not get along with the store owners, but to lash back and vengefully try to hurt them? What utter hypocrisy.
The store owners don't agree with the group's agenda. So they declined to work with them. But the store owners didn't lash out and try to disband the group. Seems to me the store owners were showing a lot of grace, class, and yes, even tolerance of the group.
This would not have happened a few years ago, I’m sensing that people are much more willing to stand up than before.
Would Mayor Greg Ballard call an investigation had they refused to put swastika’s on cupcakes/cookies?
Perhaps it is time for Heather Brown, the little dictator wannabe to be evicted from her state paid job for her lack of appreciation for the freedom of Americans. A barrage of phone calls to IU, the state legislature, and the governor might be in order. In these difficult financial times, can the state of Indiana afford to pay the salary of a social justice coordinator?
I would like one dozen bomb head mohamed cookies and a dozen mohamed is dead cookies please.
The sad part was that the owners of the bakery felt that what someone did in their bedrooms was none of their business. Where has the world gone these days?
Can we order on line?
I know somewhat what these people are going through. I work for a t-shirt shop, and one time a member of NAMBLA came in with these horrible, disgusting, offensive t-shirt designs and sayings, and I told him I wasn’t going to print them. He asked ‘why’ and I told him exactly why and he left in a huff. My first experience with NAMBLA and hope to God my last.
Ballard is a Republican and he better people like the Stocktons voted for him and won’t be doing so again if he doesn’t stop pestering them.
BUMP
.....great thread.
The obvious hypothetical is
What if a neo-nazi group called to
Order cookies for its “All gays should
Die” day? Would the shop be bound to bake
Cookies for them???
I’ll call Ballard (I am shocked he did this) and buy at lunch!
