It’s not terribly surprising that Sarah Palin would try to help the RNC raise money but two events are not exactly a total commitment. Still, I’m sure she’ll be successful. Besides, Palin isn’t interested in a Third Party run in 2012 so why shouldn’t she work with the GOP? That Michael Steel is the Chairman may irk some but Sarah Palin can’t do much about that - yet. However, if she raises some big money for the RNC, which is almost guaranteed, I’m sure she she’ll be exerting some influence in RNC matters, including the Chairmanship, which is open in January.

She is playing the game. By necessity. She can’t run for national office successfully as a third party candidate. Maybe she can exert a positive influence on the RNC.

You nailed in, Jim. Palin wants Steele’s job...and a vast majority of us would LOVE for her to get it! She’ll earn it, and she will ROCK our little world! :)
