Former U.S. Vice President Walter Mondale says this country is politically "paralyzed and polarized by gridlock, but we can change this."
Mondale, who grew up in small Minnesota towns, was warmly received by independent booksellers Friday when he introduced his new political autobiography, "The Good Fight: A Life in Liberal Politics" (Simon & Schuster, $28). His breakfast talk was part of the Midwest Booksellers Association's annual trade show at RiverCentre in St. Paul.
"What we need in America is an open, just, accountable society. We must hold all government responsible," Mondale said.
He lamented that Americans' trust in government is being squandered by big business money that is "bending decisions to its will." And he believes that "our nation has slipped into ignorant and deadly wars Vietnam, ditto Iraq, and possibly Afghanistan. We must couple our might with the wisdom that sustains us as a great power. A lot of us are a little modest about what we know."

polarization = there is an opposition to Socialism
I lament the return of Mondale and other losers like Dukakis and Jimmy Carter. They can only offer losing policies. Each lost the a presidential election in a landslide.

What I would be interested in reading is his obituary. The filthy liberal is pure evil. All he could ever think of was how to tax us more to give himself and the federal government monster more power over the producer class in America.
