Greetings to all the Freepetrs out there in Frepperland this fine Friday evening. Time for the Friday Flyby and tonight a look at some United states Coast Gaurd aircraft. The Coasties have some of the coolest paint jobs on aircraft as far as I am concerned so we will get bright on to the pics. Photos and captions are courtesy of the United States Coast Guard.

ATTU ISLAND, Alaska - A Kodiak-based HC-130 Hercules aircraft sits on the runway in Attu awaiting the final Loran Station crew following the decommissioning of the station after more than 66 years of service Aug. 27, 2010. The anti-aircraft gun in the foreground has been silent since World War II when Attu was retaken from the Japanese. U.S. Coast Guard photo by Petty Officer 1st Class Sara Francis.

NEW ORLEANS - A Coast Guard MH-65C rescue helicopter and crew from Coast Guard Air Station New Orleans, hoists two people from a downed aircraft, Sept. 1, 2010. The aircraft made an emergency landing approximately 16 miles south of Terrebonne Bay, La., in the Gulf of Mexico. U. S. Coast Guard photo by Lt. Dennis Moulder.

A guest appearance by the Icelandic Coats Gaurd.
New Orleans - The Icelandic Coast Guard contributed a Bombardier Dash 8 fixed-wing aircraft, which will serve as command and control platform and oil spotting resource as part of the Deepwater Horizon response effort. The Bombardier is modified for maritime surveillance and reconnaissance and carries a suite of surveillance sensors to direct cleanup assets. Image provided by Icelandic Coast Guard.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. A Coast Guard HC-144A Ocean Sentry aircraft from Coast Guard Aviation Training Center, Mobile, Ala., arrived Saturday, July 11, 2010, at Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport, Fort Lauderdale, carrying 45 brown pelican chicks. The pelicans, ranging in age from 5-to-10 weeks old, had been impacted in the BP Deepwater Horizon oil spill and previously cared for at Fort Jackson Bird Rehabilitation Center in Buras, La. The chicks were transported to Pelican Harbor Seabird Station in Miami where they will remain until they can fly and be released into the wild. San Diego, CA (Sept. 22, 2007) -- A Coast Guard Jayhawk helicopter rises from downtown San Diego CG Air Station with the city skyline in the background. Photo by Bert Blanchette, USCGAUX.

A C-130-H displaying an historic color scheme to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the C-130 in Coast Guard Service, flies in formation with a new HC-130J from Air Station Elizabeth City. This aircraft will be used by the Aviation Logistics Center as a prototype platform for aircraft upgrades and modifications. Air Station Elizabeth City has the first operational J models. The Coast Guard has been using a version of the C130 since Air Station Elizabeth City took delivery of the first one in December 1959. (Coast Guard photo/Dave Silva)

Well that's a wrap for this Flyby, we hope everybody has a great weekend out there, stay safe and if I don't kill the internet connection tomorrow we should be back withn a Saturday Sortie.
