CNN released this statement today:
“Rick Sanchez is no longer with the company. We thank Rick for his years of service and we wish him well.“
They will broadcast CNN Newsroom from 3-5pm for the foreseeable future.
Here’s more from the story earlier today: CNN’s Rick Sanchez is not happy with being made fun of constantly on The Daily Show and Colbert Report. It is from this jumping off point that he absolutely unleashed on Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert, and at times his own network, on Pete Dominick’s satellite radio show yesterday.
The big takeaway – Sanchez calls Stewart “a bigot,” then walks it back a bit, and he implies CNN is run by Jews.
Schadenfreude to the nth degree! Stewart better watch his back though when he’s walking anywhere! :-O

I have been plunged into the deepest of Depressions, actually an Obama Hussein Depression!, realizing my now apparent limitations!

I lead, for the most part, a quiet and sheltered life. As a consequence, I have the great fortune of having never actually viewed a broadcast by Rick Sanchez.
And for this I consider myself fortunate.

Lines like the one he crossed are crossed frequently in the public arena and consequences are rarely forthcoming.
What a refreshing change to see a public persona get exactly what he’s due- in short order.
I have a feeling Gloria Allred would have Sanchez as her client. After all she does like to represent scorned females. She’d probably claim the “joos” at CNN have always had it out for the “hispanic” Sanchez.
Doesn’t look good for client No. 9 or the “conservative” Kathleen Parker. That 8:00 CNN time slot is the kiss of death.
I have never seen his show either. Had no idea who or what he was.
