Actually, they were even worse than that. If you read the works of Lamour or Johnstone, the Indians were some of the most heinous savages who ever lived. The tortures they devised for those they captured — including the women and children — were not only unspeakable. For most normal people, they were unthinkable. And they enjoyed dancing around and ridiculing those they were slowly mutilating to death.

We are a proud American Indian family. My son returned from Iraq two years ago where he served two deployments in Ab Anbar Province. My son extended his service so he could returned to An Anbar—Fallujah—along with great number of other Marines, so help train the new guys. All 800 came home safely. My great grandfather was the first ordained Baptist minister in our tribe, and my grandfather was a deacon in the church his father-in-law helped build and establish. My other great grandfather was a Baptist minister in the Creek Baptist Association. Interesting that you feel about us the way you do. I feel very sorry for you. By the way, my son went back to help train fellow Marines who were virtually all Anglo. I wonder what they’d feel about your words that seem to include my son.
