If Glenn and Ailes are having a clash of egos, then they had better put it aside since I think they need each other for the future of both Fox News and the country, based on the outstanding work Glenn has done over the past two years.

I would think a media entertainer would need a network more than a network needs an individual.

Who cares who gets credit as long as the right thing is done. Sounds like Jerry Jones/Jimmy Johnson fights over who was more important to the Cowboys Superbowls in the 90’s. They split and now Jerry’s team struggles to make the playoffs and Jimmy just got voted off Survivor.

What a bs, Fox News does not have any problems with Glenn Beck, and Glenn Beck does not have any problems with Fox News. Don’t believe everything you read

What has Fox really done to contribute to Beck’s success aside form the obvious one hour outlet?
Beck is responsible for Beck’s success.

Beck needs Fox more. Though, it’s a win-win relationship.
They should check their egos and remember the bottom line.

Why do I suspect that this clash of egos is related to the O’Really-Sheep Smith jealousy team. I strongly suspect lots of back stabbing from Fox’s pseudo conservatives.

The president of the United States ends the war in Iraq, Shine said, which Obama did the night before in a speech from the Oval Office, and on Wednesday were still talking about Glenn Beck.
Uh, that's probably because nothing's really changed in Iraq since Obama took office. It was pretty much over since then and the American people know it. Obama's campaign speech didn't change that.
As an aside, I think they both need each other. Glen could not find any other outlet on TV for this type of show though CNN would be smart to snatch him back up. (they won't) and Fox would lose a lot of viewers if they got rid of him. I can't think of anyone that would be worth watching in that time slot that they could replace him with. Only Rush, but he's not going to be there.
To: Virginia Ridgerunner
Beck’s TV show is practically un-watchable. His whining and self promotion turn me off. The reason Rush is so successful is that he isn’t telling you to drop to you knees and pray every 5 seconds. Beck was good when he was all “pitchforks and torches” now he is a Mormon televangelist

Beck's ratings are falling, advertisers are hard to get on any show he is on....FOX brought Beck to a wider audience but Beck is about Beck. From the article: his television ratings have declined sharply perhaps another factor in the networks impatience. His show now averages two million viewers, down from a high of 2.8 million in 2009, according to the Nielsen Ratings. And as of Sept. 21, 296 advertisers have asked that their commercials not be shown on Becks show (up from 26 in August 2009). Fox also has a difficult time selling ads on The OReilly Factor and Fox and Friends when Beck appears on those shows as a guest. Becks show is known in the TV sales world as empty calories, meaning he draws great ratings but is toxic for ad sales.

But he has also been vocal around the network about how Beck does not fully appreciate the degree to which Fox News has made him the sensation he has become in recent months. So to beleive this piece of wishful thinking (crap), Ailes would have to want whatever the hell it was that they were getting paltry ratings for that time slot. The latest ratings were just released and beck has the #3 show, during the drive hour! Just below Hannity and above Gretta.
If there is any tension in the hallways I would expect it to be BOR's worthless staff because Beck is getting all the scoops. BOR last night had to resort to interviewing Dee Dee Myers and that worthless joke of a comic Bill Marr.
Beck had Danish D'Souza on last night and tonight to explain the anti-colonialism mindset he beleives is what drives Obama to rip our country.
Which is of more social import to our country right now?

Fox News needs Glenn....
Glenn has great female demographics which is the holy grail of talk radio and this kind of TV.
Glenn is perfect for the 5PM slot because it seems you have great numbers of female potential viewers at that time. The husband has not yet returned from work or if he has he wants to chill out and not watch something political
Notice how Fox previously had Laura Ingraham in the 5PM slot. As soon as Beck became available she was hustled out. Both bring in female viewers

I like Glenn... I can hardly watch fox any longer. I bought my last truck with an XM Radio in it so that I could listen to Britt Hume on the way home from work. I never use it to listen to fox. I cannot stomach what passes for fox these days... a bunch of leftards pretending to be fair and balanced while serving their saudi overlord. They are the best... of the worst... I wish that someone would actually open a news corporation that was devoted ONLY TO THE TRUTH THROUGH NEWS. Their motto:
"WE report the TRUTH... if you don't like it... tune in msnbc"

I hear Mark Levin is pretty good. He could take Beck’s spot.
