When I was 10 years old - in 1965 - I watched The Great Race 10 times - he was a terrific actor - full of fun yet great in Spartacus too.
RIP

I liked Tony Curtis but he was far better suited for comedy than for drama. It’s hard to watch a movie like Spartacus when an actor (Curtis) speaks with a Brooklyn accent.

Don’t think I’ve seen it ten times yet, but definitely one of my favorites, along with the Carry Grant submarine movie. The one whose title escapes me.

I loved The Great Race when I was little. Rented it on Netflix for my kids this summer and they loved it.

Someone else loves The Great Race. I always loved the cartoonish quality to that great movie and one of my faves. Tony Curtis is one of the great legendary actors. Quite a time in film he went through and left quite a legacy and will live on with it.

That was one of his best movies. I still quote it.

I did about the same thing. My Mother would drop us off at the movies and we might end up seeing a picture at least 3 times before she came back to pick us up which was fine with us.
I loved The Great Race, my dad's name is Leslie so it made it even more special. Only film I know where the Hero was named Leslie, gave dad a DVD of that film.
I also loved that car, “The Leslie Special”, boy I wish I had that car!!!!!!!!!!!!!
