Fact is, this is what all big corps and wealthy people do:

"Oh, it's not my fault, they were sub-contractors, she was 1099...Oh they were sent from the employment agency...I'm innocent"

We've all heard this a million times.

The sh*t is pretty deep in regards to this little con-game.

Reporting Whitman's campaign people have released a statement saying illegal was paid via W-2, and Whitman says she paid the illegal via 1099.

Which is it?

Is this a mistake?

Without specifically singling out LA, I agree with you completely. ;-]

That said, if Whitman really did get all the documentation and paid the taxes and the woman worked for her for nine years (suffering brutally at $23/hr) the story makes Whitman a winner.

Meg’s not my first pick for CA Governor, but Brown would be very near my last.
