While I am glad these counties spoke up, in the interest of fairness, let me show you the other side of the coin.

3% of Planned Parenthood goes to abortion. The rest (minus admin costs) is STD testing and treatment, birth control and counseling services.

In our minds, of course, PP is a bad group, so they must go. But go down the street, and ask any teenager where they’d go if they thought they had an STD (oh, and there are LOTS more of them than the bunch we had in the 70’s) or thought they might be pregnant. They would say “Planned Parenthood”, cos that’s what they know.

So, the other important services that planned parenthood provide will have to be provided by someone else. THERE HAS TO BE A PLACE FOR KIDS TO GO WHEN THEY ARE IN THESE SITUATIONS...and I am NOT saying it has to be PP. I just wanted you all to know how much of their business is abortions, and how they are perceived by our teens.

The fact is Planned Parenthood is the largest single provider of abortions in our country. They exist to kill babies! The other services you cite are necessary but are also available from many other sources, sources that do not promote and provide abortions.

If Planned Parenthood only killed one baby that would be enough for us to try to wipe them out.

I understand what you're saying, blu, but I recently read that of 6000 clinic visit records examined from a Texas PP clinic, only 3 referred for adoption. Meanwhile, PP has the lion's share of the abortion indusry in the USA.

I don't call that counseling. I call that marketing.

More about that, and some of it from their own annual reports, HERE (LINK)

Only 3% of the money given to Hamas actually gets used to kill people so — to use your argument — we need to leave them alone.

Sorry, no dice.

As a teen I was as troubled as they come, and on more than one occasion I turned to the pediatrician who had treated me as a youngster. If it hadn't been for him, I would have had to have turned to my parents (who were never anything less than loving and supportive) to help me through my little difficulties.

Oh, the horror!

If you take away the external influences, those...institutions so willing and eager to help the younger generation, what then? Will they have nowhere to go? Or will they possibly look to their parents or a trusted older relative to help them out? PP does them no service, period. I'm willing to bet that the young clients of PP who are treated for STDs and unplanned pregnancy are frequent flyers. PP does not exist to help anyone lead a moral life. PP does not guide clients into making the right decisions, ever. PP exists to sell the idea that sexual promiscuity need not have any lasting negative consequences, and that's a load of deadly crap.

PP sells immorality. Hell, they've cornered the market.
