don't people even think when the vote?.....don't they even think of the consequences?....
but I know we have a group here on Fr working to undermine pubs under the guise of "conscience"....
Well, I do somewhat equate my conscience with logical thought processes, not touchy feely emotions.
That said, voting for a party gaurantees you elected the fools who rob you blind. Voting for the BEST candidate on the issues and of character, even though he loses, gaurantees you can be free of blame when the party you elected carries right on the diorection we have been heading. TAX, SPEND< BORROW< SPEND etc. Eventually it will catch up and it won’t be the republicans who are left standing (nor the democrats).
STOP the madness. Our elected officials MUST be held accountable for every penny they pee away, for every moron they appoint to the benches and for every crony they pay off. Voting for good ol boys only gets his cronies access to the money (OPM, at that), not the idiots who “stayed the party course” etc.
Today, JFK would be unelectable (by the right) for being MORE conservative than most all republican candidates, and by a wide marging. Goodness!
